All I can say is this is a wonderful resort! We stayed at this place at the end of March 2009, on a Friday to Friday RCI week exchange. My fiancée and I had a two bedroom unit. The unit was very clean and the view from the 5th floor balcony was awesome! I just want to say the staff was great, they were very helpful and friendly. One of the staff members had a sister that lives in our state of GA. The Tiki-Bar and the music were a welcome and a very nice surprise too, but if you didn’t want to hear it all you had to do was close your balcony door. The live entertainment only played until 9:00pm and then the music stopped and lights went out. The ocean and pool view was incredible too…

We were a little worried because of some of the reviews we had read, but the minute we checked in we knew the negative reviews were unfounded. I noticed that most of the negative reviews came from cheapskates that had booked a studio and then tried the old “let me complain so I can be upgraded to a better unit then what I purchased for free”. Fortunate the great staff at the Light House Cove knows just how to handle these cheapskates:-)

So all you cheap people leaving this wonderful place bad reviews grow up and check yourselves. My family really loved it! Thanks Lighthouse Cove, we will be back again and again and again:-).

We arrived on a Friday and were assigned to a studio apartment which was dilapidated - rusted & moldy. The mattress was as hard as a rock. The first 3 days were horrible. Seeing how this was our annual anniversary trip, we were expecting much better accomodations. the front desk clerk even suggested that we may be happier elsewhere rather than to move us...after saying that there were vacancies, but she couldn't move us to any of those rooms since we had booked with RCI. Finally, after 3 days of frustration, the general manager was able to help and moved us to a one bedroom apartment that had been updated and refurbished. The difference is night & day!! The common areas are nice and we never found it too crowded. We got our own groceries and cooked our own meals rather than using their Tiki Bar or nearby restaurants. We could not find any outside grills for cooking hamburgers or steaks, though. Best advice...make sure you are in a refurbished unit!!!

Friends: Lighthouse Cove Resort MAY be good for some, but we found the facility NOT to our liking. Good points: The pool, spa, beach, and recreation items for the water. Lighthouse is going through some modernization. However, the modernization may not affect the noisey refrigerator and air conditioner. The facility may be very good for a smoker and every other person in attendance seemed to be a smoker. The TIki Bar is moderately nice but not good for non-smokers. The facility has WiFI which for us was good either at the Tiki Bar or the facility lounge area. The clientele, in attendance, were nice but... A person must drive at least a couple of blocks/half mile to find a store or a restaurant. The Tiki Bar does have a limited menu. The nearby restaurants may be expensive. We decided not to stay the full week as planned because of the apartment noise, excessive smoking in key areas, and the unfortunate rain. I suggest you look around for other, more desirable rentals. Good luck with your vacationing and pursuits of an adequate facility. I hope that this review helps.....

The services we received were great!!! Whenever we needed anything, we got it right away. The view we had was fit for a king!!! We stayed on the 6thy floor overlooking the beautiful ocean & beachand not to mention the pool and suana that was right below us. Every night they had great entertainment from the Tiki bar!!! One more week would have definitely spoiled us!! Cancun used to be our favorite vacation but I think the Lighthouse Point Cove could easily take 1st place!!! We stayed in a Studio unit (a little small) but it was very cozy for 2 people. Perhaps next time we will book a 1 bedroom suite. Wow...can't wait until next year!!!
