I spent the last night of my wonderful trip to Florida in this Motel 6 sure that it had the same standard as the others in which I stayed before in NY. We got a non-smoking room but it smelled terribly. The sheets had some hair and the towels were dirty as if they had not been changed. We used ours in the end. The thing I didn't like at all were the strange dudes hanging around outside. I don't like to speculate on things I don't know for sure but I didn't like the atmosphere over there and I didn'd feel safe.

We arrived in the room allocated to us only to find a family of cockroaches setting up home in the bathroom.
Were given another room which looked as if it had been trashed. Filthy dirty carpets, stains on bedding. lamps broken. Bathroom disgisting. Needless to stay we did not stay! Oh and lots of seedy looking characters hanging around the rooms. Don't waste your time!

Check in took an average amount of time but directions to the room were lacking. Non-smoking room, no bad smell, but that's the only good thing I have to say. The bathroom light took a minimum of 20 minutes to turn on after flipping the switch. There was hair and chunks of crud on the bathroom floor. The mirror looked like it had been hit with a dirty mop. Spots of feces were in toilet bowl and ON SEAT! On pulling back the bedspread we could see pieces of dried-up pizza and sugar packets on the floor. There was what appeard to be a dried up spot of vomit on the carpet in front of the TV. Some lamps didn't work. Would have left immediately but everything else in the area under $300/night was sold out and that's why we were there in the first place -- and we got the last room. Emailed management and they sent a certificate for a free night at a Motel 6 -- just what we wanted! The price of the stay should have been refunded.

I reserved a room 3 weeks in advance for $35 dollars a night over the phone. I called back to check on the reservations 3 weeks later and the same woman (I'm pretty sure) told me she had never heard of me and rates were $62 dollars/ night. On top of that, I found over $200 of charges on my credit card over the next month and I suspect credit card fraud from her.
