I booked this yesterday afternoon through my OPEN account it is given 4 stars. Why I don't know. The hotel is pleasant enough located close to Broward Mall and seemed full of our friends from Brazil helping our economy, with bags of all sorts from stores there. Maybe Brazil air doesn't have a 40 lb, limit, but I digress....
The check in process was pleasant enough but when we arrived on the 5th floor we walked by a huge air conditioning vent return, old school not pleasant. The room was pleasant enough although in need of freshening. The toilet was the first use needed and I tried to flush and found that the handle was attached to the chain but because there was no washer on the inside of the tank it had no traction, so being the only one of 3 of us, wife, 25 yo son, I was the only one who knew to take the top off the tank and reach in and pull the chain up to flush (note to travelers, water in the tank is clean so this is not as bad as it sounds, but when full on BucaDeBepo and Chianti, and wanting to watch football it didn't put me in a good mood.
I promptly marched downstairs and was probably rude to the desk clerk who had just tried to help my some with internet (of course we are supposed to know the ethernet cord is in the closet!) Buy a 4g phone you can tether or use as a hotspot you'll be happier)...I said it is impossible that nobody complained about this as the toilet was un-flushable, unless people from Iowa or Lake Woebegone stayed there and didn't complain....
Anyway I should have demanded that the room be comped but settled for 3 breakfasts, where cheerios stuck to my feet (Jimmy Fallon where are you?) as we walked through the "buffet" and people were reachable into the bagels with their bare hands.
Redeeming feature? Beds were comfy and soft, hope we don't have bedbugs; major downer? see the pics, this room has had water issues before so somebody is not telling the truth......

We understand how frustrating it must have been to endure inconveniences while on a trip with your family. Any issues you may have encountered are truly regrettable.
