Arrived Thurs 7 pm. Checkin easy & fast. Platinum priorityclub so was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite and invited to the lite supper (meatball subs - looked kinda raunchy). Took glass of wine & snacks up to room & relax & unpack. King bedroom and queen each with an old TUBEtv plus one in the common living area, would have liked at least one flat screen but no. Wifi in room one out of 5 Bars, drifted in and out. Exercise room with 1 elliptical 1 tread1bike all working. Didn't try pool because a sign saying it was closed indefinitely for maintenance.breakfast had same basic items each day (cereals,toast fruits, etc.) The room key was a 10% discount at sports bar close by. Went there the first night during Miami heat vs Lakers game. Place packed but food & service OK (duffys). Two negatives: the king bedroom in rm 414window right near the AC unit. Went on at 4am woke us & couldn't get back to sleep. Front desk didn't pick up phone either time I called(1st night because wifi pw didn't work. Last morning to ask for a printout of bill which despite platinum status wasn't slipped under door for express checkout.

Stayed during Thanksgiving holiday for 5 days with family, pre-cruise, we had 3 rooms. Better than I expected for the price and where it was lacking the customer service more than made up for it. This hotel is close to shopping and restaurants, I only wish we had been able to experience the pool. Wi-fi in room had weak signal and barely worked. Breakfast was good since it was free but it was the same items every day. We stayed during the weekday and they had evening buffet it was small but filling, again free, there was beer and wine at no charge while the buffet was set up. If you are looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel this is not it but if you want someplace that's clean and where you can save a few bucks this is your place. Enjoyed my stay!

Negatives:
Pool Area was filthy (and as such with a full hotel, it was not surprising that not one person was in the pool). Sunshade (pergola) so far rusted that the metal supports were broken apart. This could cause serious injury.
Sunshades covered in mold. Tables and Patio littered with beer cans in the morning (after wild and noisy parties that carried on late into the night on both nights we were there). Open electrical junction box in the playground by the basketball court (I am amazed at this one!!!).

We arrived early and called ahead for early check in and it was not available but front desk said it would be ready at 3pm. No problem. However at 3pm when we arrived at the hotel it still was not ready. No upgrade as a Platinum Memeber. Be advised that the rooms HVAC unit is in a locked closet in the master bedroom. If you want to know what its like to sleep next to a running AC go lie down beside the one in your house. Maids were rude and barged in on Saturday morning while we were in the process of changing and getting out. As such on one day she did not make the beds. Outside when I asked her, she said because we were in the room she could not make them. This was at 9:30 in the morning. When I suggested that I call front desk about her barging into the room, she went in and made them. Door Handles on all doors loose and ready to fall off. People sitting and smoking in the benches right in front of the main entrance. No choice but to take my family (with two young children) through the smoke. Front desk unresponsive to questions (wifi not working – “well I don’t know”...directions to mall...”Not sure, ask at the Gas Station”...nearest beach...”just keep going that way...”).

Positive:
Decent free breakfast, although small serving area and it gets crowded. Free WIFI when it works. Small kitchen comes in handy with little ones. Two rooms each have their own bathroom. Beds and Linens were clean and comfy.

Overall:
You can find better for the money. Aside from all the service concerns that you may experience here and there at budget hotels, on the safety issues alone, I would reccommend you stay far from this place.

Checked in here on Thanksgiving and was disapointed by the front desk. As a Priority Club Platinum member I should receive a free upgrade, on check in I asked if I'd been upgraded, the immediate response was no, we're full tonight. On arrival in our 'suite' which was smaller than most hotel rooms I stay in, I checked the website and at least 7 upgraded rooms were available. I sent an email for the attention of the manager and am still waiting for a response. I do not like being lied to. The suite was small but clean. The evening buffet was nice and breakfast was nothing special but was fine. What could have been a pleasent stay was marred by being lied to by the front desk, then being ignored by the manager.
