I am not a picky person at all, but this was definitely a one nighter! This is a type of motel just to stay if you are on a loooong drive and need a place to stay to rest. We were driving from Houston to Orlando so we booked a room here to rest before the second leg of the trip. Checking in was easy, but I thought the men at the front desk were rude because they were talking to each other in their language (middle eastern) while I stood their the whole time in front of them. Description: tiny restroom with old fixtures, carpet was nasty, old wall plugs and one did not work, 2 towels that were thin, rough, and had stains, walls that had holes in them that were filled with plaster, a couple of flies flying around, debris on the carpet in the corners of the room, dirty windowsill with dead insects. We did not even try their continental breakfast.
The one staff member that I have to compliment was a guy who was part of the maintenance or cleaning staff. Upon checkout, we realized we left a phone charger plugged in. We immediately returned to the room and it was not there. We saw this guy that worked there and asked him if there was a phone charger found in our room. He immediately said yes and that he had taken it to the front desk. He told us to wait right there and he would run to the front to get it for us. I thought that was very nice and honest of him.

I'm a pretty flexible guy, I don't complain about much. Well, there's always time to try new things. This place was awful. From the rude desk personnel, the clogged bathtub, the hair on the walls, in the towels, etc, and the bugs, there is absolutely nothing good to say. The "pool" is neon green from algae, there was no remote (small thing, but since I'm being comprehensive) and I really don't think I would feel safe with my family here. Oh, and don't book via the internet, because the banner on the outside wall advertises a 40/night price, which is less than Priceline quotes. STAY AWAY!

The air conditioner did not work, I called the front desk, they ended up moving us in a handicapped room, got in that room and the TV volumn control didnt work. Also didnt have any complimentary breakfast like it has listed!! Room had a bad smell!!!!! Not a clean place to stay!!!!! Very out dated place also, and I am not a hard person to please!!

We were pleasantly surprised (and relieved) when we rented a room here for 2 nights. We went to the Florida panhandle for canoeing not to stay in a luxury hotel, but did want something clean and safe. It was. Our room was very large (great for all our paddling equipment), AC worked well, nice pillows and the room appeared updated with granite counter, new light fixtures and tile floor. Close to the interstate amidst several hotels, motels and restaurants. Didn't eat the continental breakfast because we wanted something more substantial. Now if you want a luxury hotel with nice linens and high-end amenities, this isn't it. For a motel room in the $40s, I'd easily rate it Very Good.
