If you are considering staying here in January 2012 (or slightly therafter) BUYER BEWARE!!!! Spent $2500 for 1-month and the place is under construction! We cannot go out on our balconeys (they have them locked) as they are working outside on scaffolding. They cannot tell us how long they will be working but clearly at the rate they are moving I'd say at least 4 weeks. AND, there are no windows which you can open so you are trapped inside without any fresh air or ocean beezes. Your views are also compromised because you are looking through at least 4 ropes on each window. And on occasision, the workers are within a 25' view of you so no walking in your pajamas! Work starts at 9am each day.
AND, there is NO Pool! No indoor or outdoor pool use! Even after they are done working for the day! I can understand not being underneath them while they are up on the building, but come on, when they are done for the day we should be able to use the indoor pool.
AND, they are drilling ALL day on the sides of the building. So if you are looking for an expensive vacation, machines pounding all day, no use of the pools, pool area, and limited use of the facility, not being able to go outside your condo, not getting a breath of fresh air at all this is the place.
I was also disappointed in that when we checked in they informed us this is going on and that they wouldn't hold a penalty against us if we wanted to leave! We booked just 50 days ago so they should have informed us at that time. After driving 7 days to get here, where the heck are we going to go when we arrive on the front doorstep? So disappointed. Their use of the word "luxury" is a joke. A luxury resort would have provided us passes to another facility's pool and amenities to use.
We are in the 3 bedroom which does have a lovely view and is very spacious. Unfortunately, the place was heavily used with tons of stains on the carpet and furniture. We insisted they shampoo it which they did. Did get rid of most of the carpet spots but still stained. And, then it took 2 days to dry. Couldn't sit on a couch or chair (cushions were wet) and had sopping wet socks until the carpet dried out after 40 some hours.
Would recommend BUT NOT IN JANUARY or early FEBRUARY! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
