“Worse stay ever”

Do not stay in Unit 312 - very dated, dryer did not dry clothes, one toilet would not flush, had to call a repair man the first night to check refrig., the last night my daughter saw a hugh roach - we found it in their room and put in in a baggy and took to the office - If it had been our first night we would have left immediately!!! Will never rent this unit again - condo seems nice but I have never seen a roach this big in my life so I would be afraid that all units could all be infested. Internet was like dial up!!!

“Nice Condo, Terrible Room”

If you go to the Pelican Walk don"t stay in room 406. Unless you want to make a trip to the Medical center as we had to. The carpet was worn out at the bedroom door and the section between the kitchen and dinning area with the carpet tack strips exposed. One member of our party stepped on the tack strip and was injured when a rusty tack penetrated her foot. She had to make a trip to the medical center for a tetanus shot plus antibiotics. Maintance came in and removed the tack strip and taped the carpet down. Several times after this we tripped on the carpet where it was not secured. We fought ant's for three days before maintance came in and sprayed. One bed was like sleeping on a rollacoster. Taking nothing away from the Pelican Walk which is really nice, just avoid room 406 at all cost.

“Unit 1008 - Best Views in Pelican Walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 May 2010

We have stayed in unit 1008 at Pelican Walk three times over the years and are never disappointed. Very nice and large 3BR/2BA unit with a huge balcony. The unit is well maintained, well decorated, and the views are the best of any unit in the complex. 1008 is on the top floor, west side, right beside the center penthouse so it is closest to the beach. Sunset views are awesome and on a clear day, you can see to the Sandestin area from the balcony! The owners and their local representative (Joni's Beach Rentals) are always great to work with and they allow small pets in the unit (although you'd never know it by looking at the place). Pelican walk is a quiet, low density building with a very relaxing feel. Nice staff, plenty of parking with no hikes from parking decks. There are two pools and an enclosed hot tub. Looking forward to our 4th stay here already:) The VRBO number for this unit is 69788.

“Pelician Walk - Unit 1008 - Joni's Beach Rentals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2009

Our family stayed at Pelician Walk in Unit 1008 that was managed by Joni's Beach Rentals. It was wonderful and we had a great time. Joni allowed us to do late arrival and early departure. Never had any issues, just fun and relaxation. We enjoyed seeing all the dogs going out for their walks, and the wonderful view of the gulf. We are ready to go back again.

“Great condo, Great location, Great everything.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2009

This was our first time staying at the Pelican Walk and this will be our condo from now on. We rented through VRBO (#169313)and everything went perfect. I loved being on Thomas Drive and never having to deal with much traffic at all. The most I ever had to wait on an elevator was the last day we left and everybody was leaving and the total wait time was 4 minutes! The pool was never crowded and you could look and see the beach.
While this may be an older complex, they have kept everything up to date. Our condo unit was nicer than any of the newer condos we have stayed in prior years. IT WAS CLEAN!!!! plasma tv's and beautiful decor that made our stay enjoyable. The condo owner has pretty much thought of everything you will need for your stay. She was great to deal with and I would highly recommend her! This was a more family condo and I never saw any partying or had any disturbances.
