This is an older motel, but very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone. If you would rather have clean and friendly, rather than fancy with dirt in the corners this is the place. Would like WIFI.

I read all the reviews and hoped that the facility would at least be adequate. Our room was clean, smelled fine, beautiful view, everything worked, housekeeping fantastic, front desk great, pool great, beach great. Parking was a small challenge since ABVI share lot with Sharkeys next door but parking was available one blok away with a free shuttle. Sharkeys has a great atmosphere and live music, the food is fair but when you factor in its next door it kinda make the food taste a bit better. Overall our stay at ABVI was great. I didn't expect a 5 star hotel and I didn't pay for one. A great value if you are not too picky and just want a clean room overlooking the beach.

So we rented a room w/ a micro kitchenette and we were put in a standard room. I was told that b/c it was the 4th of july weekend they were booked and we couldn't be moved...so they would bring us a mini fridge and microwave to the room. I was like ok so where the heck are they going to get them from???? Yea we never got them. I was then told i'd get a refund and that never happened either! Also the room smelled so nasty! The shower was gross and we showered w/ our flip flops on! I highly doubt they wash the duvets b/c one appeared to have a nasty blood stain on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i learned my lesson! The rate for the 4th was ridiculous but this spot was cheaper than most beachfront hotels...next time i will pay the extra money to stay in a nice place. This place is nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT spend your money there!

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. You get to see the ocean for a reasonable price. Other than that, it's a bust.
There is not enough parking for hotel guests, and the room I stayed in was nasty. The carpet was soaked from the air conditioner leaking, the room smelled, and the mattresses were of the old, brownish type.
However, my biggest problem was that I had possessions stolen, but was met with indifference. Before heading to the beach, I hastily threw my $85 Fossil watch on the bed before I applied sunscreen and never moved it. When I came back that night, the watch was missing (and my room was still dirty, minus a mostly-made bed). I reported it, and was told it was probably in the laundry. Seemed reasonable. However, the next day the laundry said they found nothing, and I proceeded to tear the room apart. Although I managed to unearth a half-eaten Dorito from between the mattress and the box-spring, the watch was never found. The manager came and gave me a $50 credit. I could live with that, so I packed up my stuff and headed home. About 45 minutes out, I stopped at a bakery and discovered that $100 cash was missing from my wallet. So embarrassing. I returned to the hotel, and was told that the manager was gone for Father's day, and since I had signed a form saying the hotel wasn't responsible, I should just file a police report. I did that, and have since discovered that three rooms were broken into that weekend.
Therefore, unless you want to get robbed while staying in a dirty room, Stay Away!
