The only good thing about this hotel is the location. You get to see the ocean for a reasonable price. Other than that, it's a bust.
There is not enough parking for hotel guests, and the room I stayed in was nasty. The carpet was soaked from the air conditioner leaking, the room smelled, and the mattresses were of the old, brownish type.
However, my biggest problem was that I had possessions stolen, but was met with indifference. Before heading to the beach, I hastily threw my $85 Fossil watch on the bed before I applied sunscreen and never moved it. When I came back that night, the watch was missing (and my room was still dirty, minus a mostly-made bed). I reported it, and was told it was probably in the laundry. Seemed reasonable. However, the next day the laundry said they found nothing, and I proceeded to tear the room apart. Although I managed to unearth a half-eaten Dorito from between the mattress and the box-spring, the watch was never found. The manager came and gave me a $50 credit. I could live with that, so I packed up my stuff and headed home. About 45 minutes out, I stopped at a bakery and discovered that $100 cash was missing from my wallet. So embarrassing. I returned to the hotel, and was told that the manager was gone for Father's day, and since I had signed a form saying the hotel wasn't responsible, I should just file a police report. I did that, and have since discovered that three rooms were broken into that weekend.
Therefore, unless you want to get robbed while staying in a dirty room, Stay Away!

I do remember speaking with you about the watch and alleged theft. We found the watch in the dirty linen and sent it back to you. However it was returned stating not valid address. If you will e-mail me a correct address at gnix@seahavenbeach.com I will send it to you again. Therefore the watch was not stolen just misplaced. At the time I talked with you you indicated a problem with the a/c but as I remember that issue was addressed by our staff upon it being reported. I apologize that there were issues during your stay.
