Our family had a great time here this past summer. The rates were quite reasonable, and with two pools, a hot tub, and a nice beach location, it really couldn't have been better. The room was clean, and the staff was nice. We will definitely be back!

I travel down to Panama City Beach about 4 times a year...I am not a lover of the new highrise beach it has become...so I prefer the Flamingo that can give you a bit of both..
You have a choice of the 2 floor garden view area or the 7 floor building ...Both are great..
If you are looking for fancy this is not your place but it is modern and clean...Flat screen tvs in all of the garden view room ..Im not sure about the tower..
Most room even when called garden view have a great view of the gulf..
The staff is great....You will meet all kinds of other travellers here from snowbirds in the winter to sprink breakers to families..

We always head down for Thanksgiving...They put out tables the length of the pool and the hotel provides ham and turkey and the guest put out two sides and everyone eats together on the pool deck with the most wonderful view of the gulf.

Shuckums restaurant is right across the street... and gulf world within walking distance...You can also walk down to Pier Park..

The price was great, 66 bucks. We stayed in a cabana, the view is obstructed by sand dunes. We also found rodent droppings in the cabinets that the dishes were in. We only stayed one night, but the time we spent in the motel was nice. Front office staff was friendly and helpful. The majority of the parking is across the street, with no safe way to cross. Wasn't an issue since we left the kids at home and the traffic is not as bad during the winter months.

My wife and I have stayed at the Flamingo for probably 10 - 12 years.
We stayed here again the last weekend in October and once again we were very pleased with our stay.
The place is kept very clean and the all of the staff are very friendly.
We have always stayed in one of the tower units and this past stay we noticed that there were new beds in the room and it looked like the place had just been painted.
The Flamingo is located within walking distance to Pier Park and the new city pier and Gulf World is just across the highway.
With all the condo building that occured in Panama City Beach in the past few years it's good to know that you can still find a reasonably ($59 a night in October) priced clean motel.
I would definitely reccommend the Flamingo to anyone looking a a decent motel instead of an over priced condo.
As always I look forward to our next trip.
And I still don't know what to make of all the negative reviews, I guess some people will always complain about everything, we have NEVER experienced ANY of the problems that other reviewers have complained about.
We have ALWAYS had a great stay and have been treated great by the staff and other guests.
