This was our second trip in Panama City Beach. We flew from Montréal via Atlanta. We stayed 2 couples with 3 teenagers in Unit 417 in October 2011. The year before we stayed in a smaller unit and we realized that a 3 bedrooms unit is better for family.
It is on the 4th floor - corner unit with wrap around balcony With floor to ceiling glass surrounding the entire living and dining area, we enjoyed the SPECTACULAR PANORAMIC views of the gulf that are just as fantastic from inside the living area as they are from the balcony. You will love your stay at this unit.

We stayed in unit 2517 and had the most awesome views I've even seen from a condo. It's a unit on the corner on the east side. There are three large windows in the living area and smaller windows in the bedrooms. The unit is 3 bedrooms and a bunk area and sleeper sofa with 3 baths. The unit is large, open and airy. We had 9 people and never felt crowded. The unit is very tastefully decorated! The furniture and beds and bedding are very comfortable. The tv's and blue rays were very nice.

The kitchen could have used a few more items. We bought a few bowls and a 9 x 13 pan and some storage containers. There was one kitchen towel and one dish cloth, would have been nice to have more. We bought more, but didn't leave them. We figured they don't stay with the unit. On the good side, Mom loved the coffee pot and the blender was really nice!

The only complaint we had was the front window was filthy. With the beautiful view, it would have been nice to have a clear view. We would have cleaned the window on the inside if they would have left the supplies.

We loved that you can lay in bed and watch the sunrise and catch the sunset from the balcony or in the living room. We saw lots of aquatic life! We enjoyed watching the dolphins sea turtles and variety of other sea life. Watch out for the jelly fish. They were very large and would have hurt! For being January, we had some great weather. Our daughter actually got in the water (which was too cool for me). We had some nice sunbathing weather and some cool, shopping days.

The Tidewater has an indoor pool (without a view), as well as a nice workout facilities with a view of the ocean and a movie theater. There were postings in the elevators with activities for the residents. It looks like it's a great place to live.

The units door lock is electronic and we could change it to a code the whole family could remember. This was really nice with having so many people coming and going.

We loved the views. You could see the Gulf, the pier and Pier Park and town. You can see a LONG ways from the 25th floor! We were there for New Years and saw the ball drop as well as fireworks at 8 and midnight. We could hear the music from Pier Park and could see all the lights, etc... I think we had the best seat in the house! I've never looked "down" on fireworks before! It was an amazing experience.

I highly recommend staying at the Tidewater. We rented from Homeaway.com and had a great experience.

While we were there, we got steamed shrimp and potatoes from Buddy's, highly recommed Buddy's! We visited the Visitors center, which is real close, they have great information. Winn Dixie is just around the corner. Wal-Mart is about 10 minutes. We love Panama City Beach and can't wait to return!

My husband and I stayed here late September of 2011, I have to admit after reading some of the reviews we were a little nervous... however our trip was fantastic. The condo we rented was on the 26th floor, unit #2618. It's a one bed/one bath and is at the East end of the building. We loved the natural sunlight that came in every day, we woke up to beautiful sunrises and had the sun on our balcony through-out the day. We were happy to be on the east end of the building as we noticed one day while walking on the beach.. the condo's that were towards the west end never got sun on they're balconies until late afternoon 2-3pm. We were impressed by how nice the condo was decorated, we seen the pictures at www.tidewater2618.com but they didn't do it justice. The condo was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked. In talking with the owners, they informed us they rent they're condo themselves and not through ResortQuest. We arrived with our key in hand, parked our car and went right up to the condo. No waiting in lines at the front desk or having to get there before business hours ended. The beach was beautiful and we found the beach attendents to be very attentive and nice. We were happy to see they enforced the no tents/umbrellas infront of the beach chairs rule, who want's to look at that. We came to see the ocean :) and we did.
We will definetly stay at Tidewater again and rent 2618, we just felt at home there and when you find something you like... you stick with it. We can't wait to return.

Our group booked three separate one-bedroom condos for three couples through Four Star Condo Services. We are all good friends but this way were able to maintain some privacy since the out of season rates were so reasonable. They were all on the east end of the 12th floor and each nicely decorated, well equipped including in unit laundries and very clean. All of these units also had cozy bunk rooms and second bathrooms which would be ideal for small families. Huge windows and balconies literally overhang the water with spectacular gulf and sunset views.

The building has two large outdoor pools and one small indoor pool but everyone migrates to the incredible gulf beach which is at your doorstep. Fall is an ideal time of the year to visit PCB with beautiful weather and no crowds. However, the seasonal beach service removed the chaises promptly on November 1st as advertised despite the great weather. We had to pick up some inexpensive beach chairs at Publix for the balance of our stay.

Tidewater's location is excellent within a half mile walk down the beach to the city pier and Pier Park shopping, movies and restaurants. We also enjoyed the convenient access for exploring the cool beach towns just to the west of PCB on route 30a including Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside and WaterColor. We plan on returning to Tidewater in the spring!
