I think this stay has turned me against LaQuinta for future stays at any of their hotel. This is the 2nd one in a row that I was sorely dissapointed with. (we usually stay at La Quintas as they had been well priced and at least felt like you got what you paid for and maybe a little more)
the AC would not get very cold at all (even at night). We asked or 2 extra blankets (we have 2 beds) since we like it cold and expect the AC would get cold. We were given 1 - told it was the last one they had - I truly do not believe that.
The room had a slight pet odor that seemed to be stronger when ever we returned to the room (why were we given a pet room when we did not have pets and the hotel clearly was not booked up)
The pool towels were barely bigger than hand towels and the bed had a HUGE dip in the middle of it.
The room was clean but definitely could use some touching up and the elevator was just scary and painfully slow.
All in all, I did not expect much as I do not think we paid an exceptional amount but I did expect better than what we got. I have stayed at a Marriott for about the same price, about the same time of the year and at a tourist location and received so much better than this. As I said, I think I written La Quinta off of my possible places to stay for future trips.

Booked room through LaQuinta website, got a decent goverment price. Showed up at 3pm like the website says the room will be ready, check in was easy. Got into the room, was a decent sized room but carpet seemed kinda dirty. Went into bathroom, no towels or washclothes nada. Went down the front desk to request some, was given ONE, to hold me over since they were "low on towels" (Hint BUY MORE) After a 10 hour drive, all i wanted was a shower and a nice nap. Went back to the room to freshen up, Me, my wife, and 18 month baby all had to dry off with the same towel. Around 8pm there was a knock on the door, low and behold 2 more towels, and a wash cloth and one hand towel. It was better then nothing.
The next day after they cleaned (if you call it that), We came back from the beach, NO TOWELS again! Went to the front desk, requested more towels, she asked why we needed more, said I needed more then the zero I got. She handed me 2 towels, i asked more a couple more, she said she didnt have anymore. I stood there for another 5 minutes requesting more towels, some hand towels would be nice to.. Arguing with a 70 year old lady why 2 towels for 3 people doesnt work well is horrible. Interaction with her made it feel like I was trying to steal her life savings, all I wanted was some towels.
The bath tub drained poorly, the bed was ok, the breakfast was pidly, a group of 10 out of control teenagers broke the pool. Was there for 5 days, it wasn't awful, but fighting to get towels is silly, I don't advise staying at this place.

My family booked a 7 day stay with this hotel through Kayak for my daughter's senior trip. This was supposed to be a very special vacation for us because she would be going to college soon. When we checked in we noticed the rooms were alittle dirty but since we would be on the beach we didn't complain. The people next to us had a barking dog that bark constantly and since the walls were very thin we didnt get much sleep. There was front desk staff that was very rude and would ingore us while she was on the phone to a friend or family. We asked for more towels and she told us to go find the housekeeper that was somewhere on one of the floors. To top it off we can home one evening around 2 a.m. and was shortly met at our door with the "unfriendly " front desk staff that they had A complaint we were being to loud and it was our warning which was completely untrue. Within 2 minutes we heard a knock on the door again except this tme it was 3 police officers telling us they received a call that there was fighting going on in the room. Once they looked in the room they said to me and my family "Wow we werent expecting this, we were expecting blood, and a torn up room". They perceded to tell us we had to pack up our stuff and leave immediately (Storming outside). They said the hotel could make us leave for any reason even if untrue. My daughter began to cry and was devasted we had to end our trip so soon. But to top it off we were told since we didnt complete our 7 day trip we would be charged the regular rate for 4 nights which was actually more than we paid in the first place! Oh and we did not receive any charges from the officers that evening obviously cause there was no proof we did anything wrong. So we will be fighting to get our $ back and I would strongly advise to never stay at a La Quinta if you dont want to be treated like dirt. Sincerely the Hurley family.

I'm not enjoy my stay here at all. The vending machines were broken during my stay. Rooms and pool were noisy with partiers, and the staff never mediated situation. The walls are paper thin so I hear everything that the partiers do and say, and I'm dealing with a dog barking in the next room.. The elevators are extremely slow. The breakfast was one of my least favorite of a value-based chain. I can't wait to check out.
