What really saves this hotel is the staff, particularly Amber. She is wonderful! We were staying here for a soccer tournament and she baked extra cookies to accommodate the teenage boys staying there for the weekend. She created a really homey feel to a chain hotel. She also helped out with the laundry, which was amazing!
We stayed here for a weekend soccer tournament. We booked a room with 2 queen beds at a very good rate of $50/night (which is a little scary in itself). As it turns out, I would not want to pay too much more for the room. It was okay (could have been cleaner, but wasn't too bad) but is a little run down. They are working on this. The shower worked well and there was plenty of hot water. It was also quiet, which was surprising given that it was completely full and there were a lot of kids staying there.
It is a nonsmoking hotel, but do NOT book a room on the third floor if you are sensitive!! The smoke remains in the carpet and it is awful. They quickly moved us off of that floor when we told them it was a problem. They were very accommodating all the way around and I think deserve kudos for that.
Tthe breakfast consisted of yogurt, bagels, donuts, some fruit, etc. as well as coffee and juice. It was okay. Just basic as you would expect.
Room Tip: Get a good price! Do not stay on the third floor if sensitive to smoke. It used to be the smoking...
