“No WIFI as advertised”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Big room and bath room clean. Carpet and sheets definitely need to be replaced and drape off hook.. Rest of hotel looked very nice and clean. They advertise free internet, but it DID NOT work at all. If a hotel advertises they have WIFI, then they really need to make sure it works and is strong enough for people to get on. We had to go set in front of the McDonald's down the street and get on theirs so don't stay here if you need internet. This is why I rated it low - everything else was fine.

“Okay place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

The front desk was helpful. The room was okay. My room had fleas but when I complained I was moved to another room next door. I would rather they made a little more effort to move me somewhere else. The breakfast bar was okay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I used the hot tub by the pool area and it was nice. The pool had leaves in it but the weather was cooler so I guess they thought no one would mind. I would probably stay here again. The price was reasonable.

Right from the entrance, hotel lobby, pool, and rooms are very well maintained. The rooms are clean and the beds are super COMFORTABLE......Even at night the parking lot is well lit and the total ambience of the place is inviting and soothing. And a special mention to the staff who keep the atmosphere of this place very friendly.

We were on our way to this wonderful city, st. augustine, and are glad we chose to stay at this hotel, it made our entire experience enjoyable!!!

“Very good if the price is right, esp for families.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

What really saves this hotel is the staff, particularly Amber. She is wonderful! We were staying here for a soccer tournament and she baked extra cookies to accommodate the teenage boys staying there for the weekend. She created a really homey feel to a chain hotel. She also helped out with the laundry, which was amazing!

We stayed here for a weekend soccer tournament. We booked a room with 2 queen beds at a very good rate of $50/night (which is a little scary in itself). As it turns out, I would not want to pay too much more for the room. It was okay (could have been cleaner, but wasn't too bad) but is a little run down. They are working on this. The shower worked well and there was plenty of hot water. It was also quiet, which was surprising given that it was completely full and there were a lot of kids staying there.

It is a nonsmoking hotel, but do NOT book a room on the third floor if you are sensitive!! The smoke remains in the carpet and it is awful. They quickly moved us off of that floor when we told them it was a problem. They were very accommodating all the way around and I think deserve kudos for that.

Tthe breakfast consisted of yogurt, bagels, donuts, some fruit, etc. as well as coffee and juice. It was okay. Just basic as you would expect.

Room Tip: Get a good price! Do not stay on the third floor if sensitive to smoke. It used to be the smoking...
