“Flat Depressing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

people found this review helpful

My wife and I can't believe how depressing this place is. I am not sure its because the failed vision was so extravagant, or because its shady at night, but its even hard to come for dinner to one of the restaurants because you leave feeling depressed. I've been visiting PC area for 20 years and thought this was a promising idea, but there are so many other options for your vacation or dinner that won't leave you feeling awful.

Place is horrible, full of scary looking creeps, who rents units. It's cheap, that's why it's full of trash!

Horrible place, no one is available for questions. You do not have ocean view, you may see a few shady looking people sleeping in the hallways. Our condo door had a hole in it as if someone shot through it. The lobby is deserted, no on call person nothing. I will never return there.

“Lovely place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2010

Read some really bad reviews for European Village. Talked to the owner, decided to give it a try-kept our fingers crossed. What a really nice unit. We had 205B, one bedroom condo. No stove, just microwave and fridge, few dishes, but we weren't looking to spend much time in the unit. We were there to see the area, take in a few things we wanted to do. Tried Barbara Jeans for dinner in the courtyard below- very casual, good food and priced right. We also tried several other places to eat, all were good. Nice area.Turned out to be a lovely unit. Definitely plan on going there again next time. Well worth the money.

“We were knocking, but we couldn't get in...”

We made online reservations for a three day stay and arrived as scheduled. The doors were locked, some phone numbers were disconnected, and no one answered emails, messages, or notes we slipped under the door. We had do find another place to stay at 9:00 PM. Finally, the next day, we were told that the European Village Resort had been shut down due to rain damaged elevators. I am crossing my fingers that our credit card will not be charged, as promised by the EV rep. who finally took our call on the second day. Only good thing to come of the experience was some good meals at 2 of the restaurants on the EV site. Keep looking for somewhere else to stay.
