“Nice vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

We and our friends enjoyed our stay at Legacy. We used our week with RCI to book.
2nd bath is small but the other rooms are nice sized and we had everything we could need. While not on the ocean, you could drive to Flagler Beach and enjoy the ocean. St. Augustine is close as is Daytone Beach.
We had a couple of small issues that were taken care of without a hassle.
The pool and area were very nice. The workout area was clean and you had a sauna too.
After reading the previous reviews we were very concerned, but it turned out to be baseless.
We would go back

Room Tip: We were in Building 4 on the top floor

“Nice Location - Needs an Upgrade”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We have a very nice stay, but the place is in need of an upgrade. There were numerous places where things needed fixing - both the public areas and the unit we were in.
While the units are very roomy and the screened in patio is very nice, the master bedroom mattress needed replacing (very, very hard), and the living room furniture was saggy and worn. The master bathroom was very roomy, but the 2nd bathroom was tiny. 2nd bedroom was roomy, as was the kitchen and dining area.
There was no free wireless in the rooms, nor in the public areas or registration area. I used the computers there, which was OK.
The resort's location was its selling point - equidistant from St Augustine and Daytona Beach, 2 miles from the Atlantic. There is a $2 toll bridge to get to the nearest beaches in Flagler County, but at either nearest exit on I-95 there are beaches - free parking at all of them, too!
It's an older facility, but nice, as long as you don't want everything perfect.

Room Tip: Units 12-18 are much closer to the pool/activity area, without it being noisy.

“The 80's called -- they want their furniture back.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

This place is very clean and roomy, but the decor has not been updated for a while. It is NOT on the ocean. It is NOT near the ocean. You cannot walk to the beach. You will have to drive over a $2 toll-bridge to get to A1A, then you can drive to lots of beaches. Internet access is $10/day and the speed is 3 mps at best. Very big pool. Kind of an AARP type of place. This is supposed to be a resort, with lots of stuff to do on the grounds of the resort. After a day or two you will be bored. Teenagers will be bored out of their scull! Little kids will want to swim in the pool all day long. This is a place that we traded-in with a RCI timeshare exchange. A 3 out of 5 star kind of place. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't come back. My family likes to be directly on the beach. There was no hat water in the shower. We told the staff, but they never fixed it.

Stay away from a vacation here....TSP (reservations) quote you a super price...but when your credit card bill comes...you find they charged you alot more than they quoted....Then when you call them to complaine they just hand up on you....Not a good place to vacation anyway...Beach is too far away...nothing else to do in the whole town...PALM COAST is a really creepy town...horrible vacation if you have kids

“Fantastic, especially for the price.”

There are a ton of amenities on the property. My girlfriends and I went away for my birthday weekend and we had a blast. Our only issue is that the pool closes at ten.. After running around Orlando one day and St Augustine the next We only had an hour or so in the pool at night... The security guard kicks you out and locks the pool with a pad lock each night. It is very frustrating. There were also some punks probably 13 to 16 years of age that were super obnoxious in the pool and clearly didn't have an adult supervision. If you visit here you must go to Hammock beach. It is absolutely beautiful. I live on the gulf side of Florida and we have the best beaches, however Hammock was so quite and clean.. we loved it. Also I forgot something in the room after checkout.. and the next day I received a call from the front desk and they offered to mail it to me.. Overall our experience was great and we would stay here again:) especially if we had kids with us etc. There were some bugs, a spider and a roach, however it is Florida and that is to be expected sometimes.

Room Tip: Book directly on their website, the price was close to 10 dollars cheaper a night:)
