“Not a friendly resort-Look elsewhere!!”

Very disappointed after staying march 15-16 for weekend getaway. The biddy old front desk help were very rude and short. They looked over worked and bothered most of time. The marina was absolutely awesome, and close to Peanut Island. Feeding the fish from the docks was very cool for my 9yr old boy. The rooms were small, cozy, and clean. However, if you plan on getting out of the heat to some AC, the room air conditioner was to small to even cool a closet- only time it cooled was midnight when temp. dropped. The restuarant was was unbelievably good. The food was incredible, but so was the PRICE. Expect to spend double for the food! coffee=3.00/ beer=12.00 six pack. dinner prices were 28.00 plate. Breakfast was 17.00 for buffet. We docked a 17ft boat. 55.00/night! Things added up fast. Service was ok. If you plan on sleeping here, Forget it! The restaurant/Bar was adjacent to all rooms and The party goes on all night!!! So loud outside of room, I called police at 1am. There was a party in the parking lot outside our door. People breaking beer bottles, etc.. This is a total Marlin fishing destination for serious fishermen. Not family friendly. Dont expect any service. Your on your own. Good Luck.!

“Absolutely loved it here!!!!”

My husband & I swear we have found a little heaven on earth here. Though the rooms could use a little updating, the room we had was spotless, bright & cheerfully painted in colors you would expect in the tropics. It had a queen size bed, kitchen with stove, fridge, toaster, table & chairs and yes, there was a phone. I do agree with the the previous review about the shower needing a light but it was clean & more than adequate. There are different size rooms for larger families if needed. While we were there, we met many repeat guests from all over the country who come back year after year.

The staff was cheerful and bent over backwards to help us with anything we needed. The food at the two restaurants were delicious and the view is one that can't be beat. There is a seawall with a variety of tropical fish just waiting to be fed and if you want to rent a charter boat to go fishing, there are many choices with very knowledgeable captains.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already reserved a week in November and we will be bringing our son, daughter & granddaughter.

“Not even the Basics”

Ususally would have chosen a beach hotel but due to spring break there was nothing available. I travel the area for business and this was the worst. Upon check in, I found out that one of the buildings on the propety does NOT have phones in the rooms. I would have left promptly, but was told that I would lose 2 nights stay due to the 48hr cancellation period. I told them that I was there on business and that it was necessary for me to use a phone connection to correspond via e-mail. I was offered to use there phone jack next to the front desk.
There as no table or chair even to sit at. They also stated that there were no other rooms available. I find it hard to beleive that they did not mention this when I spoke with them on the phone when booking the hotel. I later found out from other guests that some rooms did have phones. The rooms were dark, very dark with inadequate light to read by. Floors were dirty, the shower had no light in it and a very small opening which meant I showered in the dark. Probably best considering how dirty the place was. The third night I checked out and stayed with friends. The pictures on the internet are very creative. The food was good, but other than that, I would not recommend to anyone. You get what you pay for.
