The room was well spaced and I never felt crapped in my room. The room was clean, while the patio area was small it was nice to sit outside for some fresh late night air. I was there on business and found the business center to be very adequate for my needs. The front desk staff was kind and very helpful. The location to any other Florida attractions was not close. They do have restaurants and a grocery store in walking distance as well as a CVS drugstore. You will most likely need a vehicle to get around.

The property and rooms were immaculate. The service was outstanding. Every one of the staff there that I interacted with had a smile and went out of their way to be helpful. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Stayed here 4 days during Christmas and was wonderful. Comfortable bed, clean room, Beautiful grounds and swimming pool. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
Plenty of places to eat nearby along. The beach is maybe 7 miles away but easy to get to. Plenty of shopping and a huge mall a mile away.

when we arrived in west palm beach there was a kiosk in the baggage claim area of the airport where one could call various local hotels and they would send a shuttle to bring guests and luggage to their hotel. we dialed the code for the doubletree and the van soon arrived and took us to the hotel. the problem was it was the wrong doubletree hotel. it was the doubletree airport and we wanted doubletree palm gardens. they could not take us to the correct one because it was located beyond the 3-mile limit from that hotel. nor could the courtesy van from doubletree palm gardens come to get us, as it was beyond their 3-mile limit. doubletree airport called a cab for us, which cost $40+, to take us to the correct hotel. for travelers new to the palm beach area, it is important to note that there are more than one doubletree hotel. be sure of the one you have booked. it is good to know that the different doubletree hotels do not necessarily talk to one another, as they are independently owned and operated franchises and so regard one another as competitors.
the staff of doubletree palm gardens was excellent. everyone at reception and in the diningroom was courteous and helpful, if not actually pleasant. the beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom clean, but the rather large stain on the carpet was worrisome enough to make one wish for slippers.
not having a car was a challenge as all that was available within the 3-mile limit of the courtesy van were shopping centers and malls. the beach was about 5 miles; a walk along busy roads, not always having sidewalks.
with a few changes this could have been a memorable stay in a positive light.
