The hotel was truly the best vacation I have had in years. My kids enjoyed jumping from pool to beach. Me and my husband had a blast at the bar at night. Service was excellent. Rooms were very cute. I will definitely come back.

The hotel is located in one of the most exclusive areas along the beach. Multi-million dollar homes line both sides of the rode as you appraoch. once pulling into the parking lot it was like taking a trip into the Twilight Zone!!!! I felt I was pulling into crack motel in Downtown Miami . The furniture is a mixed bag of thrift store pieces and items taken from the trash. I rented 2 rooms and niether room had a remote that would work for the ancient tv sets. bedspreads and bedding was right out of the 60's. everything was in gross disrepair. It wasn't worth complaining because they were not going to give me the room for free and who wanted another free night!!!!! Dont go!!!!!!!!

The service here is terrible, no book of local restaurant or pizza delivery available is in the room. The front desk help had no idea so handed my husband a map! So then we tried our computer, the Internet took 5 min to load one page on our laptop. There are holes in all the blankets and actual worn spots on the sheets! I have never in my life seen a worn spot on sheets. They replaced the shower curtain bar with cut PVC pipe, I figured that out after I couldn't close the curtain for my 3 year old. He would normally take a bath but there is no stopper in the tub. 4 towels and NO washclothes! No microwave or fridge. A dorm room size ironing board stained up. NO coffee pot. The wicker chair at the desk was broken. We wanted to swim in the pool, but the restaurant is located next to it and their patio seating for the restaurant is literally 3 feet away all around the pool. Plus, I beleive the beach access is on the other side but I didn't want to walk through the tables and restaurant to find out! This will be our one and only night, I would rather be at a chain next to the highway.

Okay, you've read the other reviews about the rooms needing updating and some of the rules being arbitrary. Hey, you're on the BEACH! My wife and I have come back (I'd been there before myself) and we adore it. We fell in love with Kim, our waitress at the Tides, where the food is some of the best we had anywhere. The pool area, the new upstairs patio and the cool bar are great fun. But, it's the BEACH! Up for sunrise over the ocean every day - it was steps from our room - not a car ride from some inland chain hotel. Then a fabulous walk up the beach to Benny's on the Beach for breakfast on the pier! Lovely. The Inn has a perfect location to get around the area and easy parking. While we've been there is has always been quiet.

Yes, the rooms have a few flaws,but it's Florida. You can't get anything remotely like this ON THE BEACH anywhere else on the east coast. Believe me, I've looked. If you are looking for "impeccable" this is probably not the spot for you. But if you are relaxed and really want beach access at a great price, I'd recommend it. And ask for Kim at the Tides - she is the BEST!
