“Excellent location”

I picked this hotel because of its location and it was perfect. It was located off IDrive, actually the universal Blvd side which runs parallel to IDrive so if you want to avoid the traffic use Universal Blvd to get around. It was close to tons of great chain and local restaurants and a Walgreens, pointe Orlando for shopping and a movie theater. Everything was within walking distance with sidewalks that catered to pedestrians.

Check in was quick and efficient and the agent was very friendly, answering all my questions with detail and didn't make me feel rushed or hurried. She told me about the area amenities and all the hotel itself had to offer.

My room was in great shape and I noticed this property just had some renovations which made it even better! I loved the brand new carpet and the shower curtain design all had a beautiful color palette. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect since we shared it with another couple. One room had a king bed the other a queen and each had their own spacious bathroom. There was a small kitchen with a full size fridge, dishwasher, sink and all the necessities that a residence inn offers. Also a dining room table with seating for 4.

The living room also had a sleeper sofa and all 3 rooms had nice flat screen tvs.

My biggest pet peeve at hotels is low washer pressure and a tight shower but this hotel had neither! Great water pressure in the shower and could even adjust the streaming on the shower head and they had the curved shower rod which I want at home!

The hotel had free wifi with easy access and also a free hot breakfast that was delicious with lots of variety. They also had a pool but didn't get time to enjoy but it looked lovely.

The best part?? Noon check out! :) I expected 10am and was pleasantly surprised to find out I would be getting 2 extra hours then planned.

Overall all a greats place to stay for family, business or a random getaway with friends!!

“Under Construction...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

If I would have known that this facility was being retiled during my stay I would have stayed elsewhere. First I would like to explain that I generally work 14 hours a day 5 days a week when I'm in the field, this was typical of this 6 week long work trip. So, on Saturday I generally sleep in. Not here, the last two Saturdays of my stay I awoke to a hammerdrill prying old flooring from an adjacent room. Note to floormen; when you are working in an occupied hotel it's probably a good idea not to yell obscenities at each other in the hallway. Also, blocking off exits with construction vehicles is a bad idea, bad enough to turn a fire marshal’s hair grey. Anyhow, I was told later in my stay that my room was scheduled for flooring work and that I would have to move one morning. Instead I asked if I could move the night before, this way I wouldn't have to move all of my luggage at 5 AM. Thankfully, management made it happen. I arrived home later the next day and the key for the room didn't work. Went to the desk and they told me I would have to move again the next day, 3 rooms, 3 days. Unacceptable. Wouldn't it make sense to move me to a room in which all of the work was complete? I just checked out and went to a different hotel. All of this aside, this is a decent hotel, good breakfast and in a great location. One last note, it appears over the past few years at Marriott properties that loyalty has become cheap, never recognized as a Platinum member and treated like Joe Schmo off the street, I just earn points in a different manner. - Slim

This is a great hotel. Prices were reasonable. Check in was quick and easy. Friendly and courteous front desk staff. As a Silver member, I got a bottle of wine immediately at check in. Rooms were wonderful. Breakfast was extraordinary. Perfect location near Universal and a quick drive to Disney.
No complaints.
