We have never stayed in Downtown Orlando so this was the first. We ended up booking a room throught Getaroom, as we were attending the Fairgrounds. Room was $109, booking directly would have been around $169.
We tried checking in around 2 and beings we asked for a "quiet room", we were told we would have to come back around 4...normally I would have taken the NOISY room but we needed to eat so it worked out OK. When we went back, the check in went very well, the gentleman was very polite and checked us in quickly. We were assigned a room on the 7th floor. Room was nicely appointed, bath was quit small, not much counter room. They did have free internet access which was appreciated.
The not so enjoyable was: Either valet or self parking ($13) a day, don't know what valet cost. I don't think there is a true quiet room...heard sirens all night and also street traffic, but having the A/C running cuts most of the noise. So I can't imagine what a noisy room is like.
We did not use any of the coffee cups or glasses, as my husband picked up a coffee cup and thought it looked strange and put his hand in it and it was sticky on the bottom...obviously not a clean one, so we did not want to use any of their other glassware.
Only way we would stay here again is if the price was <$80, lots of rooms in Orlando and one should not have to pay for parking IMO.
