We stayed for one night using Marriott points, and it was very lucky that the point redemption value was so low. The first room we got had a very strong musty smell, and when I told the clerk about it her first response was "Like mold?". Yes, like mold. So we got another room which had the same smell, but luckily this one had a little patio so the open door was able to clear the smell away. All of the clerks were very friendly and helpful, though, so that made up for it. Oh, and we had to get the maid to clean up hair from the bathroom floor. Ick.
Room Tip: Get a patio room!

Your kind compliments about the friendly and helpful front desk associates are greatly appreciated. Many of the associates on our team have been with the hotel since it first opened and we are very lucky to have them! I will make sure to pass on your compliments at our next staff meeting. I apologize for the musty smell you experienced while in your room. I have been working closely with my Chief Engineer and Executive Housekeeper in an effort to eliminate any odor that may be present and I feel we have been successful in doing so. We recently finished our new Courtyard Refreshing Business renovation and now feature the Bistro which offers breakfast and dinner with a full liquor bar!
