I stayed here after Christmas 2011 for a few days because I was in town for a wedding. The room was neat but not "white glove inspection" clean. The bathroom counter, tray with cups and ice bucket were dusty. When we turned on the tv, we got "white noise". I waited a bit to see if it would clear on its own and then I called the front desk. They promptly sent a maintenance guy up to fix the cable cord in the back of the tv. It had a shortage in it, so he left the room to get a replacement cord and "fixed" the tv. Well, he meant well, but it wasn't fixed by any means. Throughtout our stay, my husband and I would have to get up from the bed, adjust the cord in the back of the tv and hope it remained in place throughout the program we were watching. In addition to things being dusty, I discovered that my sheets were stained! And it was a HUGE stain, something you wouldn't miss even at your own home. Alas, I discovered this a few nights into my trip, but I did place the card on the bed for the linen to be changed. At least I had clean, unstained sheets for the last night of my visit. My biggest disdain came from the noise level in the hotel. There were several high school sports teams visiting, so the lobby was always crowded and cluttered and the hallways were super noisy! You would think that the staff would pre-block the teams on separate floors and near the elevators, so that they don't wake guests like me. Trust me, I know. I work in the hotel industry. The "business center" consisted of 1 computer, which didn't work at any time during my stay. I booked my room through Hotwire. Of course the drawback to Hotwire is that you don't get the property name until after you book your room. I was hoping for another property, but I got this one. My stay wasn't bad - but it could have been better.
Room Tip: The a/c works well in the rooms, noise level in the hallways is high.

We thank you for taking to post your very constructive comments regarding your experience at the Holiday Inn UCF. I will personally review all of the opportunities that you mentioned regarding cleanliness with our Executive Housekeeper. We do have new flat screen TV's scheduled for intstallation during the 1st Quarter of 2012 and we are confident that this will have a very positive impact on the overall comfort of our guests. Thank you for your suggestion on blocking groups away from other guests, the requirement of specific room types does not always allow for this, but we will certainly make the effort to deliver a quiet stay for all of our guests.
