We stayed two nights at the beginning of Nov. 2011, arriving late in the evening after a long flight from the NW. The room was very nice so we settled in and watched a little tv. Once in bed with the tv off we noticed the bathroom fan wouldn't shut off, and it was quite loud. We called the front desk to ask for assistance. The woman working the front desk apologized for the inconvenience and explained that a maintenance person was unavailable until morning. But she promptly gave us several choices including moving us to another room; just giving us a key to another room for the night and moving our things in the morning; or letting us stay in that room. We'd already changed into PJs so moving was at the bottom of our list, but she said we could change our mind, even in the middle of the night -- just call. She also said she would "comp" our room. We decided to stay, thinking the noise would become a non-issue once we were asleep -- we were wrong and we had a very restless night, but it was our choice not to move, not hers. In the morning we went down and talked to the new person on the desk. Yes, she had a record from last night and promptly gave us a different room. And yes that night was free of charge.

It turns out there is a central ventilation system at this hotel rather than individual bathroom fans. Some rooms have a lot more noise than others. It's a known issue. So the room she moved us to was near the center of the floor, and down from the top floor.

So be aware when you stay there... ask for a room below floor 6, and near the center of the floor. Before you get settled in, sit quietly for a few minutes and listen. If it's noisy ask for a new room.

I was very surprised to get such a fast and positive reaction from the night clerk. She was very positive and professional.

I stayed at La Quinta for one night while attending a conference at the University of Central Florida in October 2011. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. Being very close to the University this was the perfect place to stay during the conference.

Never stayed at a La Quinta, so I was a bit apprehensive to book but, really trust reviewers on tripadvisor so i went for it. To my surprise it was a really nice hotel in a great area. The hotel and rooms were clean and adequate. The room size was great-- i expected much smaller. we did not go in the pool but we did check it out, it was pretty nice/big and looked well kept. I would definately stay again.
