Booked through PriceLine, looking for something close to Universal Studios. You could have walked to Universal from the hotel, but they have a free shuttle. It was actually free & timely, we arrived at the park by 8:40 and they opened early that day, so we rode the most popular attractions immediately without a wait. You can also purchase your tickets at the hotel near the front desk, this saved us time at the park. So if you want to do Universal on the cheap, this is a good deal.
However, the walls are paper thin. It sounded like 3 Indian guys in the adjacent room had a tickle fight around 1 a.m. Not pleasant. You really could hear everything in the adjacent rooms, I'm just glad that, as my wife & kids were with me, the sounds from other rooms were not too, ahem, intimate.
Free breakfast buffet, limited and cold, but free. They had cold hard boiled eggs, cold creamed beef (to be heated & put over toast), cereal, coffee, fruit & fruit juice. Beats park prices. The lobby had that aged hotel smell, you know the one, hard to describe but unmistakable.
Employees were friendly and helpful. Property was clean and appeared well-managed. But understand that this is just an OK place to stay, great for location to the park, but not much more.
