In the spirit of full disclosure, I booked this through Priceline. By the time they added a big fee, and I paid for parking, I should have just booked directly...I probably would have saved money and may have gotten a room in the presumably nicer tower.
Check in was a big cluster, with busses arriving and lots of people in the lobby...it was a very slow process. I was housed out in the south 40...definitely just a "motel" room, with a stopped up toilet (this was a theme in Orlando, and I promise, it wasn't me!! LOL!) and a t.v. on the fritz, requiring two visits from maintenance (both guys were very nice, and it was fixed after the second visit). I am not sure if I got the Priceline Room (i.e. punishment for trying to save money), but it was a plain old room that in any other city, would have been about $80. It was my wedding anniversary, andI kind of splurged (or so I thought) on a high star hotel (my hubby was home while I was traveling on business). NOT. I really couldn't wait to leave.
Room Tip: Try to be in the tower! It has to be better than "out back."

To hear your stay did not meet your expectations is disappointing. Our website is the best resource when it comes to booking a room and determining which accommodations precisely meet your needs. We wish that your stay, especially on your anniversary, had reflected the high standards we have in place to ensure our guests are comfortable, and for that we do apologize. It is our hope that you will return, both you and your husband next time, and give us the opportunity to fully impress you with everything the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at Sea World has to offer.
