Overal this Hotel was great. However, we came to find that all the staff came to live by one piece advise when asking how to get to places around Orlando, which was "Take a Taxi".. even if it was a $5 ride or a $90 ride, they would advise to take taxi and when ask if there was public transport, they would say 'No' when we came to find there actually was.

If you want to go to Downtown Disney, it is either a 20 minute walk or the 50 Lynx bus (picks up right across the street) will take you there. Once you get to Downtown Disney there are free transport links to all Disney parks, resorts and restaurants. The hotel does provide a free shuttle to Epcot, which is great however, there are only certain return times. You can pay $10 per person to take this bus to Universal - which is great. If you are lucky enough to go to Discovery Cove (sea world), you can also take the 50 Lynx bus - 30 mins.

There was a few times when we came back at night and were stood waiting at the Front Desk and no-one was about to help us, so we gave up and went up to our room and called down and someone answered straight away.

No hassel, no problem hotel - they just need to brush up on their public transport... oh, and the A/C was very noisy.. but that was no big deal.

anything that means anything is perfect with this hotel....people complaining about the elevator being slow to arrive or the light switch was 2 inches too far from the door really should not be posting a comment.....this hotel is SAFE SAFE SAFE and so is the parking lot.....don`t hesitate to stay here for one second......oh and forget about the hot choco chip cookies when you get there, its the beds they are De Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......great hotel......tons of restaurants withing a 5 minute drive or a 2 minute walk........and remember SAFE SAFE SAFE .....my wife said she could sleep in the parking lot in a tent and wouldn`t worry however she never opt for tent with them big dream sleeper beds......DO IT then email me when you get back to say how happy you were with your stay.......clean, quiet, bright, comfortable, safe. location and staff......I only HOPE I am this happy with a hotel in my future travels..........

I spent 4 days in Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista in July, 2011.The Staff and Manager were very thoughtful. Very nice hotel.

Our room had a fridge and microwave. View of DTD. Full warm breakfast included the next morning. Great value.
