We stayed in this hotel for about 7 days, and chose it mainly for it's location and the price. It's centrally located and very close to universal studios. You have MCdonalds, TGI Fridays, a funparc, miniature golf, Ihop, Olive Garden, Walgreens all within minutes of the hotel. Disney is also fairly close (if you have a car that is).The complex is fairly large and the hotel itself exits out of different buildings. It has some nice faclities like pools, gym, conferencehall, large parking, breakfast buffet. The only one that we used was the breakfast, cause we were out all day.

When we first got there our room smelled funky, and there was a smell of cigarettes in the air. We contacted the front desk, who sent a guy over to check it out. We were given another room in the last building, and they helped us move our suitcases. The room was nice, well kept and clean. We had a small balcony to our room wich overlooked the parkinglot....(our original room overlooked the gardens). There was a icemachine on one side and a vending machine on the other...it would have been better if those were located together, especially seeing how you have to outside, and you need a keycard to enter the building itself.

We had some problems with the keycard too....it happened a few times that when we came back the keycard simply didn't work anymore. This was a bother seeing how there are no servicephones outside, just inside. So we had to walk back to the reception. Every time we were helped very fast and friendly.

The staff in itself was polite and helpfull. The lady from restaurant was especially nice and talkative! Upon request they even bring you hot chocolatte to enjoy with your breakfast. The breakfast is okay...nothing fancy or overly special. The good thing is that they bake waffles, and you can ask eggs anyway you want them.

The overall experience in this hotel was very positive. The few minor points were not an issue and won't stop us from going there again.

Pro:
- breakfast buffet was great
- conference room was alright, a little noisy
- gym was nice
- plenty of pillows
- rooms were clean

Con:
- took 3 ACs to get me one that worked
- no hot water the entire trip
- rooms are very, very outdated
- tub and sink had several chips in them, very old
- only 12 channels of TV
- NO FREE INTERNET!! And, no wireless available at all!! You have to bring an ethernet cable!!
- Costs about $20 to print out a boarding pass
- the place is so spread out - we had to walk over a half mile to the lobby or conference room
- short on parking
- we booked as a group, so they charged us $20 per night than advertised price and would not even put us in the same area!! Advise: do not book as a group!

On arriving at this hotel, you see the beautiful grounds and buildings which appear well kept. However, once you find your "building", you realize that there are no elevators to the second (top) floor, so you have to drag your luggage up outside stairs. When you open the door to your room, you enter into a room that is very outdated, musty, and just a room you want to spend another moment in. We asked for another room, as this one was not only outdated, but it felt dirty and had 2 queen beds instead of the king bed we had requested. They moved us to another building, so we lugged our bags down the outside stairs, loaded them into our car, and moved to our "new" room... which was worse than the first one. Laminate wood floors, dirty rug, small and bulky television, and a bathroom that felt dirty. We braved it for one night, then checked out and found another room in Orlando. Unless they update the rooms, it is not a hotel that you want to stay in. The conference accommodations were nice, but beware of the rooms!

We stayed at the Wyndham and had a very good experience. The room we were given was very clean and close to the pool area. The room was spacious and had a very clean bathroom. We found the beds to be comfortable and clean as well. The check-in process was easy and we found the staff to be friendly. You can't beat the location as we were at the center of everything including major highways and streets. We had no problem finding places to eat and things to do within walking distance. The pool area was very clean and even heated for cooler days and nights. We would definitely stay there again!!!
