My girlfriend and I arrived on a Saturday night. with cooler in hand - packed to the brim with food (mostly vegetarian meals for myself) - I noticed there was no refrigerator or microwave. realizing a fridge was listed under the amenities, I contacted the front desk who pleasantly informed me they'd have one sent to my room.
within 10 minutes, a maintenance man brought one and plugged it in. he noticed the freezer drawer wasn't staying shut all the way, tried to slam it in a few times, and walked out. there was a sheet of ice on the freezer drawer that was stained by what looked like an exploded soda can (brown, rusty color). note: no microwaves available here.
I was really excited for the continental breakfast which was absolutely horrendous. it was simply WHITE bread, orange and apple juice out of a machine, froot loops and corn flakes out of a candy dispenser (the crank kind) and terrible pastries that looked store-bought.
our room was on the first floor, so Saturday night in particular was very noisy. I didn't mind such, as I am a heavy sleeper, but I did have to buy my girlfriend ear plugs.
the room itself was decent. some aesthetic damage on the walls (with shoddy plastering to conceal whatever had occurred).
we brought our own bedsheets, pillows, blankets, and towels as I am just fickle about hotel cleanliness.
lastly, we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room. I found it strangely easy to remedy this situation. the front desk simply gave us 2 new room keys while deactivating the old one. didn't check my ID or anything. I hypothesized how easy it would be to just say you locked yourself out of your room, get new key cards, and basically rob any room completely blind.
overall, I feel like I got what I paid for. I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than 2-3 nights - shell out more money if you are planning for a longer trip.
