I stayed here with my boyfriend about a year and a half ago, as we were looking for a cheap hotel close to the parks.

The rooms were ok, very basic but what we expected for the price.
The location was good.
The breakfast was ok, but again very basic and not very much to choose from atal, just juice and cereal!

There were a couple of negatives, firstly, when we got there we were met by a very rude and grumpy man on reception who told us we had to pay a $100 deposit there and then which we would get back at the end of the week. We were never told this before hand.

Secondly, one night we were kept awake till 3, 4 in the morning because they had a loud music playing down by the pool area, and cars racing around in the car park outside!!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel, we didn't feel safe, and we felt as if we were an inconvenience to the staff as they were so inpolite! The only good thing was the transport to the parks but having had a look around many of the hotels do the same thing!

We are booking a holiday to florida again this year and are definatley going to spend that little bit extra to stay somewhere else. I would recommend you do the same!!

hi i was there on the 10/01/11 3 days ago it is a fantactic hotel it has all new plasma 46' tv's in all the rooms the staff are all ways helpful and the rooms are clean i have stayed there 6 or 7 times all ways good

I have just returned from a week at the Blue Palm and was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews about the place and i can say that although its not the Bellagio or the Waldorf i found it to be alright. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful from the guy in the little convenient shop to the guy who booked all the tours. The towels were clean every day and there was no sign of the cockroaches that other reviewers mentioned. My room overlooked the swimming pool and there were not any pool parties. The hotel has a free shuttle that takes you to and from Sea World & Universal. Its right on top of International Drive and is close to the bars and restaurants. It is cheap,clean and convenient. My only beef was that i had a problem with the key card and the front door which was soon rectified.

We looked at numerous reviews of the Blue Palm Hotel, and came to the decision to just stay there, that it couldnt be that bad. Well we were desperately wrong. When we reserved and prepaid we booked two QUEEN sized beds for our room, upon arrival we came to find a check in guy that wasn't very friendly and when we arrived in our room, we found two FULL beds. Needless to say, our six night trip ended sooner because we were all so cramped. The white comforters they put on the beds arent even long enough to cover you, & they have dirt smudges on them. When it came to take a shower, it took us about 15 minutes to figure how to rig the shower pull tab (since its broken and they have yet to fix it) the shower head pressure washes you and then another 10 minutes to figure out how to get the shower off.
The next morning, it was breakfast time...we went to the "pool bar" and they barely had anything and the only thing you could get juice in was a little small mouthwash kinda cup, and then the following morning there was a sign on the door saying that they were out of everything, so breakfast was cancelled!
The Pool Bar was supposed to be open to at least 2AM and it wasnt ever opened past 9AM and it was just a horrible experience.
Watch out if you like to sleep later than 8:30AM because even though Check Out isnt til 11, Housekeeping comes a-knocking 8:30AM or earlier. This place is ridiculous
To top off a horrible hotel, upon check out we entered the lobby only to find the same guy who checked us in, all too busy to break away from a soccer game on tv to check us out. Finally after he drug himself away long enough to check us out, he informed us that we then owed a $2.50 a day resort fee? There werent even clean towels! Oh and the "High Speed Internet & Cable they offer is a JOKE, the internet is super slow and the tv snows all the time, even when we had them "check it", they basically said deal with it.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE is all i can say!
