Econo Lodge Inn & Suites provided a basic but clean and comfortable room (towels changed every day as a matter of course, bedding would also be changed daily unless you indicated you didn't need it changing). Soap, shampoo, etc all provided free of charge - even mouthwash. As a downside I would say the air con could be noisy, which in February wasn't an issue but if you were there in the heat of summer I think would be a nuisance. Coffee machine, TV, radio, iron, hair dryer all provided. Free tea/coffee available 24/7 in the lobby as well as free computer access. Staff all helpful and friendly. Ideal location for theme parks and I Drive attractions as well as Malls, and loads of reasonably priced family style restaurants. Check out the Ponderosa and Golden Corral. Never quite figured out the "free shuttles" from the hotel to the various theme parks, when I enquired there always seemed to be a charge, but other shuttles as well as the I Trolley were readily available. Definitely no frills, but more than you would get in many a similar style lodge accommodation in the UK.

When we first arrived we were given a room overlooking the main road, it was noisy and the carpet in the room was damp, but we thought 'hey, you get what you pay for'.

We stayed there one night, got back from dinner the next day and our keycards wouldn't work. we went to reception to ask for them to be reactivated and after around 15 minutes of queuing were told 'you have to change rooms as your room isn't ready'. This confused us a lot, as we had already stayed in the room one night and our luggage was in there! They gave us another key and room number and reluctantly we left to move all our luggage unassisted. We decided we better check the room was ok before moving our stuff. Boy were we glad we did, when we entered the room it was ALREADY OCCUPIED! We quickly appologised and left to go back to the reception to angrily explain that they had given us someone elses room key. We then requested that we should just stay in the room our luggage is in, so they said ok and gave us yet another set of keys. The receptionists didn't appologise or give any explanation.

We got back to the room (it was around 11pm by this point and we had been mucking around with reception for an hour), settled down and went to sleep, only to be awoken at past midnight by reception calling to see if the room was occupied. We were fuming!

The next morning we called the company we had booked the holiday through, who were also not very impressed at the lack of customer service. We went out that day and were contacted by the company to tell us to see the hotel manager when we returned.

He then upgraded us to a suite, which overlooked the pool, was a lot quieter and had wi-fi access. Finally we could continue with our holiday and be happy, it was just sad that it was blighted so much in the first 2 days.

Other then this customer service we found the hotel to be pleasant, it was in a good location and had good transport links. But I would not stay again.

stayed here 3 times. Used another hotel once when then iceland volcano went off the other hotel put up the price so we transferred back to econo lodge who did a special deal. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help! Amazing location right in the middle of intenational drive. Huge shopping malls at either end of the drive as well as Wet'n'wild, universal studios and sea world.
So easy to get round, there is an I-Ride stop right out side the hotel these run every 10 minutes and take you from one end of international drive to the other for $2! Weekly tickets are available which are good value!
Within walking distance of loads of resturants, would recommend ponderosa just next door.
Yes the rooms arent amazing, but you're rarely in them, its beds a tv, sink toilet bath and shower but thats really all you need you come home from the theme parks or shopping have dinner and go to bed, get up and do the same the next day. The rooms were clean and tidy and cleaned every day by friendly cleaners.
Pools are lovely the jacuzzi is like getting into a hot bath. The hotel run a free shuttle coach to busch gardens which is very helpful. Only downfall was in 2007 when we got coaches to disneyland that were the hotels which leaked, however this was 2007 so they may well have been changed.
Would 110% recommend this to a family who are visiting the theme parks. absoultely fantastic holiday!

Read the mixed reviews, registered and checked in. Woke up at 4 a.m. with roaches running over our faces. No authority to refund money but would only move us to another room.
