We spent 7 days at the Westgate Leisure Resort for a Disney vacation. Two adults, two teenagers. Our choice of this hotel was made because of our budget...family members have a timeshare here, and therefore it was much cheaper than any other options we had.

We obviously stayed in the timeshare portion of the hotel...this particular resort is broken down into apartments, hotel rooms, and timeshare rooms. We had a first floor end unit, but no stairs outside...I'm grateful for that because the walls were thin and I'm sure we would have heard anyone and everyone going up and down the stairs. We certainly heard every move our upstairs neighbors made during the night.

The room itself was nice, a two-bed, two-bath condo, with an outside laundry-room and full kitchen. The appliances were all in good condition, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The furniture was rather dated, though since I can remember coming to this timeshare over 10 years ago, I wasn't surprised by that. The amenities at the resort were minimal...pools, hot tubs, and a gym. No spa, restaurants, or extensive guest services.

We had two complaints during our stay. The first is that the central heat did not kick on until the outside temperature dropped below 54 degrees, by which time the room was very chilly. As this was one of the coldest winters on record in Florida, we were cold for much of the trip! And at one point during our stay, the second bedroom had ants coming out of the air vent. However, management was prompt in their response to come spray the room, and we did not have any further problems.

The resort's location is excellent, it's a 15 minute drive to the Disneyworld parks, 5 minutes to Seaworld, and probably 10-15 minutes to Universal Studios.

Six day stay. Very clean. Very responsive staff. Outstanding maid service. Would not hesitate to return.

We are owners at Westgate, Florida. it was wonderful., in every way, beyond belief. The employees are first class all the way! This year we decided to use our timeshare at Westgate in Gatlinburg Tenn. Westgate in Gatlinburg is why we appreciate Westgate in Orlando and are very happy with our purchase. As most people do, we wait all year for the vacation that you have worked for all year. Our personal concierge (really a salesperson) manipulated and wasted our time on the day of our arrival. Not only that, but pushed our emotional level of calm, rational and happy people to the breaking point. If you want a truly classy resort, look into owning in Orlando, Fl. You can still visit other Westgate Resorts and hopefully have a good experience. Our advise is that if you want to visit the beautiful Smokey Mountains stay anywhere but Westgate Resorts there.

This is our sixth stay at this resort. It's quiet when we stay here. Smaller size compared to the other Westgate Resorts. We are always here on off seansons May and September for 1 week stays. Everything is in a short distance from here. For example Public's, Drugstore, Sea World, IHOP just to name a few. I thing the reason we keep coming back here it's convenient and meets our needs and never disappointed.
