My very first impression of the hotel was not favorable, as the woman at the front desk wanted to argue with me because I did not have a printed email confirmation page. I travel a lot, and I NEVER have a printed email page. She said it was a new policy that they just enacted a couple of hours ago, which is fine, but you can't expect me to have the paper. She tried to turn the monitor around at the front desk so that I could log into my email and print it out but they keyboard wasn't working, so she told me that I could go to the buisness center for $3 for 15 minutes to print out my email and bring it back because she would get fired if I didn't print it. In the end, I forwarded my email to her from my phone and she printed it, but the entire discussion was unprofessional. She gave us a map of the property and circled our room, but she circled the wrong room so we ended up having to walk back and forth to figure out where the room was.

I have NEVER seen a shabbier hotel room than this one. The wooden entertainment center looked like it was either covered in mold or like someone spilled a soda down the front of it years ago and it was never cleaned. The computer desk looked water damaged at the bottom and the cloth computer chair with it looked like it came right out of the dumpster - I wouldn't even touch it. The bathroom door looked like someone kicked it in or something - it was severely damaged with the wood splitting on both sides of the door. The toilet didn't appear to be properly installed and would almost come off the floor. I have no idea why housekeeping and maintenance have not taken care of these large issues. The carpet was not sticky and the bed was clean and comfortable, but that is all that was right. To make matters worse, there was a letter on the bed when we walked in talking about how much they strive for "friendly customer service and clean rooms that reflect the highest quailty standards" - yeah right.

I have stayed at Comfort Inns across the country and this one is by far the worst I have ever seen. And it wasn't even the cheapest Comfort Inn in the area.
