Aftet a long day of delayed flights, I was looking forward to checking into The Rosen Plaza, ordering room service and calling it day. When I got to the front desk I was told I didn't have a reservation. I gave the front desk agent my confirmation number and he informed me that my reservation was for yesterday and since I didnt show up yesterday, they gave away my room. I had my iPad with me and was able to show the agent that according to the confirmation email I had receieved, I was checking in on the right day. I was traveling with 4 co workers and 2 of them were at the front desk with me having the same problem. Even though we had a confirmation email confirming our arrival day, we were told our reservation had been cancelled because we were no shows and the hotel was sold out. The desk agent called a manager who was far from helpful. After about 30 mins they were able to find a hotel to move us to for the night. They told us they would call us a cab to take us to the new hotel and it would be complimentary. After waiting 20 mins, there was stil no cab. We asked the doorman where the cab was and he had no idea what we were talking about. We finally gave up and got a cab on our own which we paid for ourselves. We got to the new hotel, The Rosen Cener, and went to check in, but was told they didn't have a reservation for us. They called the Rosen Plaza and after waiting 15 more minutes we finally got a room.

We later found out that our co worker who was on an earlier flight had the same problem when she checked into the Rosen Plaza. Because it was earlier in the day when she arrived, they were able to give her a room. She informed the front desk that her coworkers would be arriving in a few hours and that they would need rooms, but it turns out the Rosen plaza did nothing. Even though this was their mistake, they did nothing to try to fix the problem in advance. I travel all the time for work, and this has been one of the worst hotel customer experiences I've ever encountered. We have to check back into the Rosen Plaza tomorrow and I am dreading it!
