“Quiet, tucked away with lots of room to spread out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were traveling as 2 couples the 2 room bedroom suite with 2 queen beds gave us plenty of room to spread out. Loved having our own separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Beds very comfortable. Didn't use the kitchen portion but would have if staying longer than one night. Pool area was clean. Bar in pool area nice, freindly staff, good prices. Breakfast was excellent. Was a busy morning and they kept things well stocked and clean. The hotel is tucked away from the expressway making for a very quiet stay, however, not to worry... still easy to get to. We enjoyed our stay and will most definately stay again when in the area.

“An great option for families - staff is outstanding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Our rooms had a bedroom and main room, each with its own bathroom. The shower and toilet in each have a door so family members can be getting ready at the sink and mirror while another has privacy. There was a full kitchen and small dining table. It was easily large enough for a family of five.

The breakfast was fine with lots of options; the Mickey Belgian waffles with LOTS of topping options, cooked oatmeal with toppings, a yogurt and fresh fruit station, grits, eggs, french toast, sausage, breakfast burrito fixings, and a large section with bagels, breads and muffins.

The hotel is aging a bit but really just minor aesthetics.

The real stand out was the staff. Great front desk staff that made hussled to take care of my early arrival. I called down since my room didn't have a corkscrew they ran one immediately up (and at this price range I would normally have had to run down to the desk myself). They really hussled and kept the breakfast area filled, cleaned and cleaned tables available.

As for location, it was terrific for the parks. A couple minutes to downtown disney, a couple minutes to Seaworld, 15 minutes to Magic Kingdom, and 20 minutes to the airport.

“Excellent location and value, will need modernization in the future”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

I stayed at the Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista for 10 nights in January with my wife in vacations following a business trip. The reason for selecting the hotel was the great rate including breakfast and internet and near Disney parks. The 1 room king bed had a good bed, but we could notice that mattress was not so firm. TV sets were large LCDs, and the standard kitchen space and amenities provided us the comfort we needed. Free internet was fast but not reliable at all times, it would disconnect you eventually from time to time. Towels were old, I would definetely suggest for them to buy new ones. Carpets also looked kind of old, and that contributetd to the impression that the room could be cleaner. Hot breakfast was very good, and the hotel also offers complimentary snacks and beverages 3 days a week, which I didn't enjoy due to the time they are offered. All interactions with staff were good. All very polite and looking to support you.Really near Disney parks and specially Sea World and its parks.

“Residence Inn from a 14 year old's POV”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Yes I am 14 years old, but I am known by friends and family to be a very good critique. To start out, I just completed a four night stay (January 27th-January 30th) in a two bedroom suite with me in one room and my parents in the other. The Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista Hotel is very good looking on the outside- You've got palm trees, lots of flowers, bushes, and an outdoor pool area along with a bar. In the pool area, there is the main pool, a hot tub, and a small pool for little kids (which is somewhat hard to find as it is hidden in a corner behind a waterfall/fountain.

On to the inside-Unlike the new design for Residence Inns, you don't have the conduction stove tops, or the stainless steel refrigerators. Instead, you have a normal fridge, with burners and an oven, with a microwave. The flat screens are a big hit, but the quality is like pizza hut to Wolf Gang Puck's Pizza. The beds are nice. Not to hard, not to soft, just right. HOWEVER! the rooms can get very humid causing difficulty in breathing (especially for people with asthma like me). Somehow, the humidity crept into the sheets too make them feel, well not damp, but as if there was moisture on the sheets. The bathrooms are very nice. I am 5' 2" and the shower head was very close to my head. The force of the water was fine, except for the toilets which were very weak in my room. House keeping is great, sheets are washed every 3 days, so if you are germaphobic, ask for the sheets to be washed every day. The maids also run the dishwasher every day which was nice.

B-R-E-A-K-F-A-S-T: My new favorite meal of the day! That is right I actually got up early for this! The food and staff is phenomenal! This feast fit for a king includes: Mickey waffles (three waffle makers), toppings for mickey waffles, donuts, bagels, breads, muffins, biscuits, Bacon, Canadian Bacon, Beef Hash (only these meats rotate every day), Sausage patties (regular daily meat), Eggs, Tortillas, croissants, oatmeal, grits, juice, milk, fresh fruit! AND TO TOP IT OFF, A SEATING AREA THAT COULD FIT 200 PEOPLE!

The hotel layout is very confusing. Imagine a base ball diamond, but the home plate is missing.....no complete circuit. In other words, its a diamond shaped building with a gap between the entrance and guest rooms between third and home plate. That means you have to go a lll the way around IF YOU NEED TO STAY INDOORS. They do have themed entrances as the staff notice that the layout is a problem. So you simply go from "BETWEEN THIRD AND HOME PLATE DOOR" TO " HOME PLATE DOOR" WHICH MEANS YOU NEED TO WALK 20 FEET OUTSIDE.

Staff- Very enthusiastic. They care about their guests! They tended to my family's every need. A lot of the staff are also spanish speaking so if spanish is your first language this will be a good hotel for you. I would personally like to make a shout out to CAROLINA who worked in the dining area-all out fantastic. thank
you! Be warned if you do not like being interrupted during your morning breakfast, take your
meal to your room as they will try to socialize with you.

I did not use the shuttle, but it sounds very limited. It only goes to EPCOT.

game room-I have seen better at a roller skating rink.

The market is pricey, they wanted $7 for a bag of chips where you can get it at Walmart for $2. GO TO WALMART IT WILL SAVE YOUR BUTT!

This hotel is a Good Neighbor hotel for Disney. This means they sell tickets- no bargain.... its the same price. Unless you get them from under cover Tourist.
All in All, This hotel is a great hotel for families and provides quality Residence Inn service. It is cheap and worth it. However, it is at the end of PALM PARKWAY which consists of 1,000 plus hotels and restaurants.

I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Choose a room on the inside. Our room was away from the highway and was on the outside and we still...

“Sawyer universal trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Once again we visited universal studios and the Marriott never disappoInts us. We have 3 children and the space in these rooms is perfect. I don't like to be crowded in a room, so we booked a family suite. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The only complaint would be at breakfast. Everything was great, except the space for breakfast. When the hotel is close to full, you cannot get in for breakfast. We stayed four days and only had breakfast once. This is a wonderful hotel, the only place we stay! And as always universal was completely Awesome! Thanks for a great vacation!
