“Great customer service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Overall, a nice hotel, very clean, nice warm pool ...

Everybody (front desk, cleaning staff, store/bar people, etc.) were supper nice. I felt a really exceptional level of customer service -- every request was taken very seriously and everybody tried to make me, the customer, satisfied. I mostly dealt with people at the front desk and they all were very helpful. I asked for a room change (our first room was too close to the elevator), I asked for a $5 voucher (I forgot to put "No room service needed" card on my door), I asked that my TV remote got fixed (it probably ran out of bateries). All my wishes were granted! You may think it's trivial but I had a very different experience in similar situations in Hillton, Waikoloa on the Big Island, where my requests were mostly denied ...

The only thing I did not like was that it felt over-airconditioned.

Also, you need to be aware that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere - 15 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Disney World. The only fun/good thing nearby is the Florida Mall, that's it. If you are OK with that, you'll enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: The rooms on the front side have a bit nicer view but get the sun all day long. In February, when th...

“Best hotel we've ever stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We arrived after a nine hour drive and were immediately greeted by valet and "bellmen". They took our luggage to our room and our check in took less than 5 minutes. Anytime I went to the desk for information, I was greeted and given directions or the information I needed. The room and hallways were immaculate. ALL staff were friendly and ready to serve. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Orlando. We also spent a lot of our time in the mall that is connected to the hotel. The quality of the stores therein made our stay pleasurable.

Room Tip: Get a king size bed, instead of 2 doubles.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Business trip on a tight schedule - but the staff was terrific - very accomodating and helpful for whatever I needed. The rooms were nice and clean. I ate in both of the hotel restaurants, and was very pleased with the service and the food.I seldom get the opportunity to shop, so being right there, as part of the mall, was really nice. Thanks to all!

Room Tip: Any room is fine.

“Once again, an incredible stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This is my third time staying at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center for meetings and each time the experience improves. The meeting space was very accommodating and the IT staff made sure all our electronic requests were filled without a hitch! The guest service is phenomenal throughout the hotel and they go out of their way to fulfill your needs, even those with developmental disabilities. The location is perfect for "work" and "play"! I will be bringing my very picky daughter with me for trip number four so that she can spend her time at the mall, dining, or just relaxing while I work. It seemed unfair to constantly treat myself and not treat her too.
