My husband and I go to Orlando frequently. We have stayed at several hotels in the area. This was the by far the worse one. I have never written a review, but the treatment by staff has forced me to do so. First the hotel was dirty. The TV remote did not work. There was no hot water. I do not enjoy cold showers. To top it off I left my phone charger in the room,becauseI was so anxious to leave and take a shower. It took 2 days and several phone calls to get someone to talk to me. I even tried asking for the manager but she only transfered the call to a answering machine. Finally the said they had it and they would mail it to me if I gave them my credit card information.

Have always stayed at Holiday Inn's and have never been disappointed and again were not. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with regards to helping us get around Orlando. As I checked into the hotel, the Universal Staff were explaining to my husband how and where to get the free shuttle to the Studios. The hotel lobby was light and airy with plenty of places to sit. The room we were given was nice and large, very clean and modern. Even though the hotel did not offer breakfast, TGI Friday with access through the hotel, was open early for breakfast. If you don't want to take the shuttle to Universal you can walk there in 15 minutes.

Good location for Universal Studios but the hotel itself could use up to date remodeling. The lobby area had several incidences that brought alarm to our family's safety including a formal police arrest of a gun carrying man. There is also two reserved parking spots clearly labeled for the Orlando Police Department implying frequent visitation.

The swimming pools are misrepresented in the website photos. They are much smaller, are not connected, and there is no indoor pool.

One positive note is that the on site Universal Studio representative did a great job informing us of our many options and arranged for transportation to the parks.

We stayed in a suite which had two bedrooms and a common room. The floor plan accommodates to families easily. The restaurant provides a coupon for kids to eat free with purchase of adult meal providing the coupon is picked up at the front hotel desk before each meal.

Depending on the hour the restaurant itself attracts questionable clientele.

Great location we were able to walk to universal studios. Only down side is they didn't have a airport shuttle but other than that everything was nice. The suites were a decent size it was able to sleep 5ppl. It didn't have breakfast but it was close to several restaurants. Front desk is also helpful. We never had any issues.
