My wife and I spent two nights at this property - we are essentially locals but like coming over to Orlando, staying in the area, and going to Disney to use our annual passes. I chose this property based on price and location.
First the pros:
This place is in the perfect location. Literally. It is close to all sorts of great restaurants, close to Disney, close to shopping, and close to the Interstate.
The check-in process was flawless. We were in our room within 10 minutes of arrival on property.
Each and every employee we encountered was cordial, professional, friendly, and welcoming. This was especially true of the staff members working the front desk area.
Our TV wasn't working properly and a call to the front desk netted a repair within 10 minutes.
The room was spacious and overlooked the pool.
The pool area was wonderful - lots of chairs, umbrellas, and room.
The pool bar was awesome.
Now the cons:
Parking. Or the lack of it. I went in knowing that I would be paying $10/night for the parking. I realize that this has become to standard but because of construction there simply are not enough spaces. We got back from Disney just after midnight and there was no choice but to use the Valet. Fortunately, because it was their fault, they only charged us the regular parking rate and no additional for the Valet service.
Hot water - we would turn on the shower and wait for upwards of 10 minutes for the water to get hot. (on the 5th floor of building 3) This wasn't an issue once we got to know it but don't get up expecting to turn on the water and hop right in.
No housekeeping!!! We left the first morning around 9 am and did not return until around 4 pm. Our room had not been made up. No fresh towels, beds not made up - you get the idea. I called the front desk and she said "It might be as late as 4:30 before they get to your room." When the maid finally showed up she only had bath towels and it was after 5. They definitely need to tighten up on this one. This single aspect of our stay lowered their overall score one mark all by itself.
Summary:
This place would have earned the highest marks possible had it not been for the total lack of housekeeping services. The room was fairly clean when we checked in but one of the things you sort of grow to expect (and hope for) is a nice clean room when you return from a day's adventures. Coming in and not being able to shower was a disappointment.
But overall, given the price, location, professionalism of the staff, comfort level of the beds and room, the big question is whether or not we would stay at this resort again? The answer is an absolute and no hesitation yes. The inconveniences were not outweighed by the conveniences and, in a couple of months when the construction is complete, the parking won't even be an issue any longer.
Just turn the shower on a few minutes before you intend on getting in.
Don't come back expecting the room to be cleaned and made up.
And while the construction is still going on, be prepared to use Valet.
