We just spent two nights at this hotel while in the area for a wedding. I chose it because of the good reviews and great price. I don't see how it can maintain #3 status-it is very much in need of tlc. First of all I was surprised to see it was all exterior corridor entries into the rooms - I always prefer interior hallways for safety and quiet. The doors are difficult to close properly, thus the loud slamming of doors we heard every night. People talked loudly outside at late hours and ran up and down the metal steps with no thought of others. As far as the room itself, the bed was comfortable and it's nice to have the fridge/microwave but that's about all I the positive I can find. The bathroom ceiling was full of poorly patched leaks, bubbled up with peeling paint. The bathroom sink was full of cracks and stains, the door had sizable areas of veneer peeled off...the toilet tank was cracked...I had to bend to fit under the shower head. All in all very disappointing. Even the heating unit screen was rusty and filthy looking. As others said breakfast is decent- with the waffle maker, yogurt, and cereal choices. The eggs were pretty bad but that's typical for that type service. Only glad we paid $60/pm...you get what you pay for is true for this one.
