At $28.70 + min tax (Senior Rate) for a double and single bed, price was certainly a great deal. This room configuration was small though--access to bathroom door and kitchenette could not be done simultaneously; brother and his wife had room with a double bed, and their room was much larger. Room had a small frig (unfortunately freezer compartment had no door), single burner stove, microwave, sink, cooking & eating pans & utensils for 2, and small coffee maker. Bathroom was large (large shower in lieu of bathtub), but single shelf above sink and no other storage made it impossible for wife & daughter to spread out their normal assortment of bath products. Room appeared clean and had no hint of prior smoking. Rooms are only cleaned/made-up once per week (though our scheduled day was New Year's eve, and no one showed up). Lighting was rather dim in room and bath (and not working over single bed) and small table & 3 chairs (only 2 of which fit around table) made it a bit awkward for eating (or anything else for that matter). Food Lion, Burger-King and Chilies right next door, other eating/shopping close by, as is NAS. Our trip was a family visit so spent most of our time at sister's, using the Suburban for sleeping only. If you're on a tight budget and have no problem with basic accomodations, this is a reasonable choice. If you require hotel-style services (daily cleaning, 24/7 desk service, breakfast, etc.) try somewhere else.

I called the hotel directly after reading reviews and they were so nice! They booked a special in house rate and I couldn't believe I got so much for so little. Best kept secret of Orange Park!

My sister and husband came in town for the Jaguar's Game and to spend some time with the family. We did not have enough room so we paid for their stay at the Suburban on Wells Road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave my sister and husband an newly renovated room on the first floor and they really enjoyed it. Only down fall is that the rooms are small but for the price they had a good stay.

I realize we got what we paid for, however I do not recommend wearing white socks in these rooms. There were spider webs on the ceilings, with spiders. The room was equipped with a small kitchenette and dishes and silverware were provided, but needed washed before use. Since people stay there for months at a time you had to exchange your towels with the front desk on a daily basis to get clean ones. Cleaning is only done once a week and obviously it's a bare minimum. The bed clothes were clean. They had security, however several times during our stay we could see police patrolling the parking lot and one woman was arrested. We weren't sure if we needed to feel safe with all the police or to wonder if we were in a really bad part of town.

Overall the trip was wonderful and I would probably stay there again, but I will have them reclean the room when I get there.
