This is a run of the mill Days Inn. It is an older motel that is kept in great condition. The grounds to the pool area are always clean. Sometimes you might find an airconditioning unit not working at its prime if so ask to move rooms soon after your arrival.I always stay on the third floor just because of the walking noise you may encouner if below. The noise from I-75 can be some what loud. There is a resturant at the hotel that sells very basic food and a small hotel store for sodas and snacks at a reasonable price. I like this hotel maybe not the right motel for very picky people. There is parking for oversized vehicles.

Room smelled strong with clorox. Saw big roach crawling over exit door. Before checking out saw bed bugs on both beds. Killed them and took to front desk in kleenex when we checked out. Daughter has 4 bites side of neck in a line, I had 2 on chest. Will never stay at another Days Inn. Had stayed there before with no problem. This room was in back of motel.

This place is not too bad! I did not check the other reviews before checking in, and I am glad I did not. I got a discount coupon from a rest area, and I am pleasantly surprised with this place.
I have been in this room for 24 hours now, and I haven't seen any bugs. Very surprising considering this is Florida, bugs are everywhere. The room is quite nice, with newer bedding and appears to have had new carpet and paint recently. The Microwave in the room is a bit older, but works. The staff is helpful. I haven't gone for a swim yet, but it looks very clean and is of a good size. Also, the grounds are really nice with ample walking area.
Now the bad, I am not a fan of their free wireless internet. You have to watch a commercial before you can use it, and it keeps trying to open a connection which my firewall keeps blocking. This is not a very good area of town, but the Motel has some security which appears to be working to keep this motel safe. I haven't felt guarded or unsafe here.
All in all, this is an older motel which has had renovation, and they seem to be keeping on top of maintaining it. As for the smell in the lobby? The lobby is of "bare" wood and stone construction. It smells like a "mountain retreat" if you will, and I like the smell. If you don't like log cabins, then you wouldn't like the smell.

Stayed in a second floor room. The railing and staircase which are outside are rusted and loose! The lobby smells like grandma's attic as do the hallways. The parking lot is full of deep potholes. The room did not smell, which was good! The floor was covered in white hair - from a dog? or other animal. The blanket was also covered in the same hair.

The carpet had been recently replaced and looked new. The coffee maker made only one very small cup of coffee, not a normal pot of 4 cups as you would expect. The bed had roaches in it. We complained and were moved to a better room, seemed to have been renovated.
Would not recommend this hotel at all.
