If you need a place to rest your head for a night where your PETS ARE WELCOME, but fear the cleanliness of the hotel, this might be the place for you. It is RIGHT off I-75 and all the rooms have new carpeting (November 2011). I am particularly sensitive to dog odors and the cleaners used after the dog leaves, but the room we got at this hotel was perfect for us and our cats. You can smell something for sure, but it's not an overwhelming chemically type cleaner and it's not a dog smell. We never stayed in Ocala before but it turns out it's a busy area with tons and tons of restaurants and shops, not your typical "off the interstate" roadside hotel. Also, the bed was comfortable and the room and hotel were clean in general. Very nice continental breakfast was served as well.

We stayed here while just passing through. It was right off the highway (I-75) and really close to a ton of restaurants. I wouldn't have wanting to be in that room for a whole weekend, but for checking in at the last minute one night, it fit the bill. The rooms were a little small, but seemingly clean. The beds were a little hard, but I slept like a rock and did not wake with any back pain.
It was over priced for how the rooms were, but it was the cheapest of 4 hotels we checked out that were right next to each other. But the nice part was they had a continental breakfast included (items were what you would find in a traditional continental breakfast, sorry no waffles there), so it was nice to eat quick and get back onto the road.

We stayed at the Best Western in Ocala for one night pre cruise on our way to Lauderdale. It was easy to get to and a lot of food options close by, also a gas station. We stopped and got the coupon book from a rest area and used it.

The staff were excellent, rooms were clean, area was quiet. They gave us an adjoining room for our sons and let us use the one coupon for both rooms. There were no resort taxes and all that nonsense, so we paid $108.00 for one night for 2 rooms.

There was a Cracker Barrell in the same parking lot for breakfast and check our was noon.

The only down side was the beds were like sleeping on plywood. It was doable for one night, would not want to stay longer.

Arrived late evening. Front Desk Staff great! Nice area- restaurants abound.
Returned to room after dinner - prepared for bed. Layed down and OH! My! Goodness! beds are not good. Very hard - older and in need of replacing. Fitted sheet did not fit the mattress...bed not made well. So attentive to conservation - towels were hard and stiff as well.
I agree with other reviewers - close to 9 am to little breakfast as staff was cleaning up and preparing to clear what few items were offered. It was Saturday - might suggest extending til 10 for late sleepers. Skipped what was offered and walked over to restaurant for breakfast. Lets rethink breakfast times.
