If there is a handicapped individual in your party, this is a wonderful hotel to stay at. The shower is fully accessible -- there is a one inch difference between the bathroom floor and the walk-in shower, the shower head is mounted on a moveable handle, and there is a large bench mounted to the shower wall. The bathroom and doorways are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair, and grab bars are mounted throughout the bathroom. The handicapped individual in my party stayed in an accessible room on the third floor. This room with a king bed connects to a regular room with two queen beds, so it is ideal for an individual with multiple caregivers. The walk to and from the elevator is not very far. My only concern is that in the event of a fire, one would be required to evacuate via the stairs.
Regular rooms are nice as well. The carpet is clean, the towels are decently thick, and the bed is comfortable. The sink is not separate from the toilet and shower area, and there is not much mirror space outside of the bathroom. (I wouldn't suggest this hotel for quad-occupancy groups of teenage girls!) The breakfast is decent but nothing to write home about. This hotel has the standard spread of cereal, fruit, yogurt, baked goods, and a waffle station. The lobby offers coffee and cookies during the evening.
A decent place to stay for the able-bodied, and an exceptional place to stay for the disabled. It is somewhat south of Ocala proper, so don't be alarmed if you don't find it where you think it should be. Be sure to ask for the 10% senior, AARP, or AAA discount.

Thank you for your review of the Sleep Inn and Suites Ocala-Belleview! We appreciate that you chose to share your experience with other TripAdvisor users. Our hotel wants to make sure that every guest has a comfortable and hassle free stay. That is why we are especially careful to comply with, and surpass, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Our handicapped rooms are fully accessible and include widened entryways, spaces between beds and furniture, and a modified bathroom. Our staff also calls the guest room shortly after check-in to ask if our accommodations will be adequate for the disabled guest and if there is anything else we can do to optimize their stay. We have handicapped rooms on multiple floors. If ever your party stays with us again, please call ahead and we will be happy to reserve an accessible room on a low floor. Thank you again for taking the time to write your review!
