My children and I arrived at the hotel exhausted from a day at Busch Gardens. The employees at the registration counter were exceptionally helpful and gracious. When we arrived in our room I immediately threw open the balcony doors and the sound of waves crashing against the beach filled the room. The beds were fluffy and comfy. The room service menu was perfect .. everything from sandwiches to entrees. Nothing was over priced and that was so much appreciated. The food arrived promptly and was hot and tasted great. We called for an extra towel and it was delivered within minutes. The service was wonderful. We woke up and watched the morning arrive on the beach. The kids and I enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beach. Service was slow at the out door dining .. but we were dining at the hotel and on the beach .. that in an of itself was pretty awesome. Not all of the resorts in the area have this option. My only complaint is that the chairs on the beach in front of the hotel were not owned by the hotel. There was a $25 charge to use them. I live in Florida and I have stayed at many beach resorts. This is the first one that wanted to charge me for a chair. My oldest complained that the light on the balcony wouldn't turn off. We are all a little sensitive to light .. so I can't disagree with that one. Otherwise a very pleasant stay at the Doubletree.

I'll preface by saying we have stayed here multiple times with good past experience. My husband made reservations for a gulf view king room as we always do. In fact, he requested the room we had last stay as it was excellent. Reservations said we had to accept a gulf view queen bed for now, but to call the hotel and they should be able to get the king. He called and they said they should be able to accomodate when we get here.
When we arrived, the front desk said all they had was a street view, queen beds, not gulf view and not king. It is a huge issue to come to a gulf hotel and not be on the gulf side. He said we would need to show where it says gulf on the reservation. It does not say gulf or street, but we know we selected gulf as there is no other option for us. If it is street, we would stay home. The only option is they gave was to move to gulf view the 2nd day. This equates to view of street for 2 days, until a room opened, and then interrupt our day to pack up and move the 2nd day. As if this not bad enough, no other considerations for thier lack of appropriate room.
Customer service at front desk unacceptable, especially due to being a loyal returning customer and hilton honors member.

We decided to take a anniversary trip to Florida. After much searching and reading online we chose to stay at the Hilton Doubletree Beach Resort on North Redington Beach FL. This hotel met our requirements of a front facing ocean view room while maintaining our budget. Our room was very clean and nice. The housekeeping did a great job. The entire staff was friendly. One important factor for my wife and I was that we felt very safe in and around the gulf blvd. area.The restaurant "Mango's" in the hotel had very good food and service also. Definitely would recommend!

The room was great !! 5th floor gulf side,the view breath taking, rooms very clean, staff very friendly and the food was great.
