I have stayed at this property twice for business trips. The location is great; right on the water with a view, but the property is run down. Stained & worn carpeting, stale rooms, old, beat up furniture. When I was there a few weeks ago they had begun renovations. I can tolerate it for one night but I wouldn't want to spend a long time here until the renovations are complete.

We stayed here for the annual Norwoods Wine Festival. What a great hotel, older and worn a bit but well maintained and clean. The hotel is right on the beach. Staff was fantastic. We will be back to stay at the hotel again.

While this property could use quite a lot of updating, the spaciousness of the rooms combined with the fantastic views separate it from the average. New Smyrna is a small town just next to Daytona. It has nice restaurants and very "beachy" shops. The most important asset is the great white beach.
My room had two queen beds, a nice spacious living room and kitchenette with a balcony right on the beach. Everything functioned just fine and the place was neatly maintained however it's decor is very tired. So, if you were a guest in 1985 you would have been in the most "happening digs around". I must say that the beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean and modern.
The price was right for the location on the beach and the restaurant provided a nice bountiful breakfast for a great value.

I'd still stay here again, especially with a family. The staff was friendly and accommodating..

Upon arriving I walk to the front door announcing renovations, noise will be heard. I don't remember exactlyt the times but something like 9-9. It was a late flight we arrived with two kids at 1am. There was a disclaimer we will find you another hotel. My suggestion let us know when we make the reservation.

Yes noise, and it wasn't off the beach! Went down for breakfast which was a deal, very friendly people working there, except the home fries had a taste and smell from last nights fish fry.

Very close to the beach, however walked to new symyrna boardwalk to find that is being reconstructed no place to shower off the salt. Oh well trek back to pool, because no swimming due to rip currents.

Went back to pool, I don't know how many law suits there are pending but when the concrete turns wet its ice! After a near concussion on one little one and two more near bumps it was time to call it quits.

Went to the Garlic that night for a great meal and came back after construction was over.

Went to sleep and left there early am for breakfast somewhere else even though it was so cheap.

The rooms need a lot of updating, fixtures were broken, lamps didn't work, the bathroom looked like it has not been touched in 20 years.

Did not feel clean here...for $100 a night I know cannot complain, but it should be much lower or pictures and descriptions need to be updated.
