“A delightful walk back in time...”

This is a lovingly restored small hotel in a historic building that overlooks the intercoastal waterway. You will be warmly welcomed the minute you walk into the charming lobby. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and exceedingly clean. The bathrooms have been updated and have nice walk in showers. You will delight at having breakfast delivered to your room at your preferred time. You can enjoy it in the room or outside on your balcony. They say "location, location" and you will find this one is perfect. You have the peacefulness of the intercoastal, a fabulous spa on one side and the Riverview Grille on the other. Walk out the front door and you can stroll down Flagler Ave and enjoy all the shops, restaurants and local sights and when you get to the end of the street your feet will be on the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Of couse, you could also just put on your bathing suit and relax in the extra warm and inviting pool after you finishing shopping in their adorable gift shop. This is THE best place to stay in New Smyrna Beach.

A romantic, charming first class experience. Staff treats you like you are their most honored guests. Not modern but so so cozy.

“Still Loving it!”

My husband and I have been coming here for the past eight years for our anniversary. We have brought other couples to join us and enjoy the weekend getaway. Leave your cares and worries at the airport. This is one great place to rest and relax. We have also enjoyed the spa next door. This year we brought two additional couples (their first time) and they kept thanking us for sharing our little bit of paradise with them. Our one friend (after day two) said he was finally "getting it", on why we love coming here. We kept asking him if he "learned it" yet? When we were leaving for the airport he finally said he "learned". Learning to relax, no time keeping, no work worry....just relax. When we checked out yesterday we all made our reservations for next year. The restaurant next door is great (ate there Sunday night). JB Fishcamp is great (at there Saturday) and the Garlic is wonderful (ate there Friday night). If you want, there are lots of things to do. If you don't want to do anything, you can!

“Good place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

We had to stay here on a business trip recently. It was a last minute choice but we were well pleased.

The location was right on the inter-coastal (though adjacent to an over pass). The inter-coastal views were nice and peaceful.

There was a nice wrap around terrace outside our room. We could sit on the wicker chairs facing the inter-coastal or overpass. Either was nice. We liked the landscaping and blooming trees/flowers facing the over pass.

In the morning coffee, tea and warm pastry was delivered to the room. We sat outside on the wrap- around porch enjoying the view, being serenaded by early birds and sipping our tea---heavenly.

The room itself was a nice size. The decor was old Florida. There was a dressing cabinet, desk, large chair and two full beds. The bedding covers were not new but were not overly faded nor thread bare. The sheets were wonderful, soft and silky feeling to the skin (they are available to purchase) The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but very clean, nice touches (lace outer shower curtain, wicker baskets, nice looking toiletries). There was a nice shower, no bath tub and nice hot water with a good force.

There were a number of eating places in walking distance. A Spa is next door (we're sorry we had no time to explore it).

The internet did not work well- however, I never brought this to their attention because I have WiFi and used it just fine to get on the internet.

This place is a cross between an Inn and a Bed and Breakfast. They cater to your needs. The staff were super-all of them!
Our only regret is that we did not have more time to stay and enjoy!

Room Tip: ROOM 307 upper level rooms facing the inter-coastal or the over pass have the better views

“The best hotel in NSB, or anywhere near NSB”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

This is the best hotel in the area. Rooms are quaint but nice, the staff is always friendly. Connected to a great spa and a great restaurant. Ask about the small homes they have for rent, they come with private pools. Convenience is great here, you are right on the intercoastal and can walk to the best bars in the area. If you are staying in New Smyrna, this is the spot.
