We love coming here because of the location on New Smyrna Beach - the Tiki Bar with the ocean view, the King Suites with full kitchen so that we could cook some meals, one story buildings, the dune walkover right from the Tiki Bar to the beach. We did not swim in the pool as it was cold, but is protected from the wind so we did lay out. The pool is not heated.

So maybe it needs a little refurbishing.GET OVER IT. It is a part of the history of the beach and the area.The people who work there have always been nice to me.I'd rather stay there then some more expensive place and have stairs to climb with weirdos watching me in the hallways.The beach is close.The Tiki bar is great! The people who have been writing reviews think far too much of themselves.Who do they think they are? The kings and queens of England? This is an everyday place for everyday people. You think you are so special? Go somewhere else and pay more! I plan on going here until the place has fallen down from age.I like being a normal person around normal people!

It's a nasty, nasty place. First off we shared the AC with the neighbors, we had to ask them to turn it on for us!!! This also meant we shared the air they were breathing ie. cigarette smoke, and what ever else they may have had. All of our clothes smelled of cigarettes; we are all non smokers. The web site is a lie, the pictures are totally false. The age of the place is fine but nothing has been updated since it was built. The furniture is totally gross with stains; I didn't want to sit on anything! Plus a big fight broke out during the night and the police had to come a haul people away. Run I say run.

We stayed at the Sea Vista in February and were made very welcome at reception and we viewed the room at at first glance all looked ok. However we never looked at the bedding and discovered burn holes in the blanket when we went to bed. On having a shower we also discovered the towels were see through due to wear and the cleanliness of the bathroom/bedroom left much to be desired. The Sea Vista has everything going for it regarding location and views but does need some renovation work to bring it up to a good standard. For the price paid $89.95 it was very poor value.
