We lived in Naples for years, and before that visited a lot. When visiting, we would always stay at beachfront hotels with a lot of amenities. We recently moved from Naples, however, and needed a place to stay a few days before the van was loaded and the day after. Based on the usually predictable good, clean offerings and breakfast at Hampton Inns, we decided to stay here, as it was convenient (for us, not the beach) and centrally located. As is the case with many Naples hotels, they don't go the extra mile to keep up with modernization and maintenance, as resort guests will spend anything for any kind of lodging in"season". The hotel was fraying at the seams, the rooms suffered the effects of humidity, and several things barely worked. We were so tired that all we cared about was a clean bed each nigt. However, for someone traveling there for a vacation; you can do better. I would still choose Hampton or Marriott over any Holiday Inn or Staybridge property, based on those hotels' disregard for cleanliness and the need for clean sheets, but this Hampton needs to up its game and provide accommodations and amenities in line with what people pay and expect from a resort town. I would still feel "safe" about staying there, but only at the very lowest rate. They are a low-end Hampton at the moment.
