I'm puzzled by some of the very negative reviews as this is a perfectly good Fairfield Inn, and as far as I am concerned does not damage the Marriott brand in any way (I am a platinum card holder). We first discovered this a couple of years back just after it opened (or was maybe renovated) and have been back off and on since.
The location is slightly outside Naples and if you want to walk to Fifth Avenue, it would you take you a brisk 15 minutes (past luxury apartments, so I don't know where the "worst part of town" comments come from). On my most recent visit, we had a suite with king and sofa bed which was on a corner and was massive. Of course, if you want upscale luxury, you do not choose Fairfield Inn, but as a basic hotel, this ticks all the boxes.
On check-in, staff were friendly and efficient. The room was very clean, very quiet, and generally comfortable. Parking is free and plentiful, and although there is slightly tatty, empty restaurant adjacent to the hotel, that is hardly their fault.
The only slight drawback is the breakfast area which is quite small, and does not really have a customer flow, so gets congested, however, as it was Christmas week, I will forgive that. Usual Fairfield Inn standard of food...not the best in the world, but hey, its free!
Overall, no problems at all here, and my grading reflects what i would expect from Fairfield Inn.
