For a full week or longer vacation, we always prefer to rent a home or condo. We stayed at Regatta in November for a week, and can enthusiastically recommend it. Our Unit 403 was between the lagoon pool and canal. The spacious balcony provided a great view of the canal area facing north, which avoided any direct sun shining onto the balcony. The pool was beautiful, clean and never crowded (although it was off season). We had 3 bedrooms, a full open kitchen, and 3 flat screen TV's (although they were not hooked up to an HDTV feed), Internet access was high speed cable, and hopefully the owner will add wireless soon. Every unit has assigned parking, so there should never be a problem finding a spot.
Regatta is about 3 blocks from Vanderbilt beach, which is a nice walk. At the beach a vendor rents chairs and sells drinks and snacks. A convenience store was being readied to open halfway between the condo and beach. There is a Japanese restaurant and seafood shack in walking distance.
Tip: Pick up a Paradise Coast coupon book at a visitors center. There are discounts for several good restaurants, and a 2 for 1 chair rental coupon for the Vanderbilt Beach concession.
We stayed here over the Labor Day weekend. Naples was quieter than some areas I've been at this time of year, but I loved it!!!
We were in building 2, unit 806 and it was an end unit so very bright. We had tons of space. What I really liked is you had both a view of the beautiful bay and the gulf (8th floor). The watefall pool is very nice but my husband and I ended up in the lap pool right on the bay. Sweet.
We didn't have time, but there is a place close by to rent boats. 1/2 block away. Also, one of our top treats was walking to the Ritz for gelato.
Our unit was very nice. I don't know about the others, but the place is kept up very nicely.
We booked this condo through Premier Properties and they were very helpful. We stayed for the whole of November. It was extremely well fitted out - very much a home. We would recommend Building One, the higher up the better, because of the wonderful views over the canal and the Gulf. It's just a few minutes walk to the glorious beach and the sunsets from the lanai are amazing. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance and a supermarket, bike hire, cinema etc just up the road.
We had friends, from the UK, visit us for the day. They liked it so much they have now booked a month in the condo next April.
We hope to return at the same time next year!
We decided on a condo at the Regatta for a Christmas trip with our 2 grown daughters instead of a hotel & it turned out to be a truly wonderful choice.
After much research, and reading several reviews about many units with wear & tear from use we decided on Unit #1104 in Building II and it was immaculately clean/ decorated/furnished & offered every amenity possible. Absolutely beautiful!!
The Regatta is directly across the street from the Ritz Carlton Naples where we have stayed on previous trips & we found the quality of furnishings & decorating to be equal to that of the Ritz Carlton but less worn....in fact, it appeared to be new/never lived in or leased.
All arrangements were made through the owners of the unit who were extremely anxious to please & very accessable.
During our initial conversation upon arrival we had noticed there was no coffee maker - filters, but no pot...not a big deal to us but within an hour the owner had a new coffe maker delivered to us.
This is a 3 bedroom.3 & 1/2 bath unit with a beautiful view of the water.
We would return to Napels & Regatta but only if this specific unit was available. It was perfect.
