This is our third year at WTC and they have only improved. This year the grounds have been repaired from last years storm damage, the restaurant is open, the courts are in tip top shape, matches are well-arranged, and the people are friendly to all comers. We have stayed in three different units; all have had lake views which are serene yet entertaining with some fishing and lots of birds to watch. Everyone walks to the courts and skill level matches are set up by the office - one can sign up for three days in advance. There are also two weekly drill clinics for men and women - Sat morn one after another and then women on Mon eves and men on Wed eves. Players can only get better under the expert guidance of Bog or Pavil, the world class pros who are the hardest working instructors I have ever seen. The complex is located in the midst of fine shopping areas, tasty restaurants for every taste and about 10 minutes from the beach. Of course there is a pool (heated from Nov - May) and a whirlpool on site. If you have a bike, bring it and get some additional exercise. If you want more action, try the line dancing classes or participate in tai chi exercises. A full service pro shop offers racket stringing, apparel and even books to borrow. We highly recommend this resort for a great escape!

we found World Tennis Club on Airport Rd. after calling the Chamber of Commerce and asking where we could stay that wasn't $200/nite that had tennis. We've been coming back ever since. The tennis facilities are the best and the tennis office will set you up every day with a match. 16 courts-3 hard-13 clay. In high season 100-150 people play every morning but it's not a zoo, just lively.
The 2 bedroom condos have a kitchen or you can eat at the small cafe on site. Lots of good restaurants are close. The beach is 5 minutes away but we aren't beach people, just want the warm weather in winter to play tennis and enjoy the sunshine. The pool is small but adequate. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the people friendly.
One word though, the condos can vary widely in condition, furnishings and decor. You need to rent though a reliable source. The online site world tenniscenter.com is NOT connected to the property itself and is not who I'd reccomend to rent from. We did so the first year and were sorry (about the room/condo, not the club).
