“ONe Night was Enough”

Nothing Special. Would not call it a full fledged casino more like a glorified bingo hall with sub par slots and tiny poker room. No craps, no blackjack, no roulette. Can walk the entire gaming area in 15 minutes.

The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly.
The buffet was more of the truck stop variety, Not many choices.
Breakfast was good
Bar drink prices were very good.
Close to the main entrance ot the Everglades National Park

Would not stay again...even if you are a gambler. The staff at the hotel recommended the Hard Rock Casino for a better casino experience ?

Your in Miami....no outdooor pool ????????

“Stay away at all cost!!!”

This has got to be the worse place I have ever stayed at. First thing the parking was chaotic there were no spots anywhere near the entrance so we had a long walk. When we checked in we were greeted by a rude staff, this should have been our cue to find another place but we figured that this was just these individuals. The room was nothing to write home about it was plane and it needed to be updated and nothing like the picture advertised.

After all that we decided to have their steak and lobster special at one of their restaurants. This particular restaurant was located in the gaming area so if you not a smoker"and we are not!" don't eat there the smoke is heavy the filtration if any does nothing to minimize the smoke The waiter staff were rude and service was at a snails pace. The salad was pathetic The lobster were so small you could eat it in two bites and was cold. The steak was OK but also small. And the waiters never asked if we needed anything else. It took forever to get the bill so we could get out of this smoke filled room.

Then joining the players club was another joke once again rude staff and it took forever, one good thing is the fact that they gave us a $15 voucher to play the slots I rolled once and Won $18.And cashed it out.I figured I was not going to drop another dime into this place, and I didn't. I might have If they were serving any drinks for the gamers. But I didn't see many gamers with drinks. it seems they don't like to pour drinks for their guest either.

Breakfast was free and thats the only good thing, the bad it was all cold. getting a cup of coffee was almost like pulling teeth. The waitress was rude and didn't speak good english.

We will not be returning here it was the pits!

“Miccosukee Resort Is the Bottom of the Barrel....... The Sediment of Life!”

1. The Food
We went to the front desk to find out what our options were for dinner and told her that it was my husbands birthday. She recommended the fine dining establishment on the second floor, and told us that he would receive $25 off his meal for his special day. We went up to look for the restaurant (we passed it by because we did not recognize it as a restaurant). A waiter came outside and we asked him where to go. He directed us inside. We were the only people inside. That should have told us something. I ordered something they did not have. I had to choose something else. We finally did receive our food. It was cooked and presented well. However, the wait staff was foreign and English was the second language. They were pretentious and acted unfriendly. When the bill came, the manager came over to ask for the drivers license saying, "We need proof it is your birthday- but we do not believe everyone and we need the license". He would not let it go either. He repeated this at least 3 times. It was just uncalled for, and we told him three times we understood. The deduction for the birthday and the tip was calculated into the check. We did not have a problem with that. However, the next day when I checked my banking online, I found they overcharged us with an additional $10. I guess the included tip was not enough for those pretentious waiters who had no other customers that night. It makes me sick that they felt they have the right to do that. Its just disgusting. Period.

2. The Casino
After dinner we went to play the slots. No one spoke English. The staff speaks to each other in Spanish. There is a lot of smoke everywhere. There are about 5 or 6 of the same slot machines (just hundreds of the same ones). We had little choices on our games. The slots are all related to their bingo games. They are not regular slots. What we thought was an up side, was that we found out there was a $10,000 give away. In order to participate, you would need to fill out a form. The form was supplied to you by the person who cashes in your tickets. There simply were none around in the three hours we were playing the slots. We asked someone who worked there (he had a listening device and a walkie talkie) to help us. We told him we wanted to be included in the give away and we didn't get forms all night. He told us to wait. We waited over 10 minutes. Finally a cashier walked by. We asked her for the form, she refused at first. She said we had to be playing. We told her we were playing all night, and even had a cash out receipt for our money from the slot machine to prove it. She said No. She didn't see up play! We asked another man, who appeared to be security, to help us. He gave us a very hard time. He asked the woman cashier, who repeated that we needed to play. It was just a sickening feeling, that we had to go through that. Finally, she gave us one form (even though we were two people). She said we were only allowed to have one! We explained we were both playing, and I was feeling like we were the enemy and were going to be thrown out of the casino! When I asked for the supervisor, then the girl cashier gave us another form. We went to fill it out at it was just about the hour when they were picking the winner. The woman guard tried to block us from putting in our forms! She said she was not allowing any more forms to go in the vat. We were left standing there berated and humiliated. We left the casino vowing never to return.

“Smoker's Paradise”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2010

I stayed here last summer because it was super close to my work site. Thats one of the only positive things I can say about this hotel. I'm not a smoker, so joining the ranks of other reviews will include how smoke gets into everything you bring into this hotel, even when staying in the 'non-smoking' rooms. The room was ok, staff were nice enough, food was ok, but overall not a great hotel experience. On a side note, although the parking lot is cleaned with street sweepers each morning, the amount of litering that occurs in one day simply was amazing. Also, we had to pay for wifi, which I feel should be free like other similarly priced hotels.

“If you don't mind smoke”

If you can get by the smoke as you make your way to the check-in area you'll be okay. Room was okay but they are renovating this hotel.
